MILWAUKEE (Civic Media) – The 2024 Republican National Convention will wrap up with Donald Trump’s presidential nomination acceptance speech Thursday night.
Trump is scheduled to speak at 9 p.m. central time, according to the RNC Committee on Arrangements.
Trump’s speech will wrap up the RNC in Milwaukee, which began on Sunday.
On Wednesday, J.D. Vance, Trump’s pick as vice presidential nominee, gave his acceptance speech. The Ohio Senator was announced on Monday as Trump’s running mate.
Republican governors Greg Abbott (Texas) and Doug Burgum (North Dakota), who was considered for the vice president nomination, also spoke Wednesday. Trump’s son, Donald Trump, Jr., was among the speakers that included seven members of Congress, four of whom are from Florida.
On Tuesday, multiple former Republican presidential candidates spoke in support of Trump, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Wisconsin Senate candidate Eric Hovde and host committee chairman Reince Priebus, who is from Wisconsin, also spoke on Tuesday.
On Monday, speakers included Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and RNC chair Michael Whatley.
Trump was officially nominated as the Republican presidential candidate by the RNC. The nomination came just two days after an apparent assassination attempt of Trump in western Pennsylvania.
Trump will be preceded by a number of conservative figures, such as media host Tucker Carlson, UFC CEO Dana White, former Sec. of State Mike Pompeo, attorney Alina Habba, and his son Eric Trump.
