Speaking The Truth with Judge Susan Crawford (Hour 1)

February 12, 2025

This Wednesday, a grumpier-than-usual Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project joins us to discuss the Wisconsin State Supreme Court race. We also get his opinion on Speaker Robin Vos and his new DOGE-inspired Governmental Oversight Accountability and Transparency Committee, or GOAT.

Towards the end of the hour, we are honored to welcome Judge Susan Crawford, a candidate for our State Supreme Court race. She shares what she believes to be the most vital issues in this race.

Making Our Voices Heard Under Elon– I Mean Trump (Hour 1)

February 5, 2025

It’s Wednesday, and that means a visit from Pat Kreitlow of UpNorthNews Radio and Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project! As Todd watches Wisconsinites march down State street in Madison in protest of President Trump and Elon Musk’s actions, Todd asks Pat and Trygve what their thoughts on how people can and should make their voices heard.

Yesterday afternoon, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu met with President Trump in the White House. Trump announced his intent to level and develop the Gaza strip into a new economic powerhouse. This doesn’t line up with Trump’s “America First” campaign promises. Trygve is wondering how Trump voters feel about this foreign aid/invasion. Ultimately, this is a big distraction from Elon Musk’s continued coup of our government’s payment systems.

Civic Media Spotlight for February 1st & 2nd (Hour 1)

February 1, 2025

To begin this hour of Civic Media Spotlight, we take the beginning of a conversation with former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn on the Maggie Daun Show. Harry joined Maggie this week in-studio to discuss the recently pardoned J6 felons and the other craziness going on during the first week of President Donald Trump’s second term.

Then, on a Wednesday edition of the Todd Allbaugh Show, Todd visits from Pat Kreitlow of UpNorthNews Radio and Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project! On April 1st, Wisconsin will vote to elect a new state supreme court justice. Every day, we discover new reasons why conservative candidate Brad Schimel is completely unfit to serve our state. At a Republican community event last year, Schimel was caught on a mic calling for another “bloody revolution” to get American freedom back from “the socialists.”

Then, on UpNorthNews Radio this week, Pat discussed how some Wisconsin legislators are considering a new way to hide from taxpayers the true cost of the programs that give out taxpayer dollars for vouchers to private, often religious schools. He spoke to Chris Thiel, legislative policy specialist for Milwaukee Public Schools, about this new shell game that would force every Wisconsin taxpayer to fund two parallel school systems in the state.

Wrapping up this hour with a segment from the John & Gordy Show, the guys welcomed back Mike McCabe and the three spend some time on the topic of oligarchy. They also share how we need not despair right now, and that we can look to the future and plan to make some real advances as a society.

Look At The Things That Affect YOU (Hour 1)

January 22, 2025

It’s Wednesday, and that means a visit from Pat Kreitlow of UpNorthNews Radio and Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project! This is the first time we’ve heard from them since Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States. So far, Trump has followed through on most of his campaign promises, except those that actually benefit the average American. Pat and Trygve help us to focus on what’s important in the firehose of news during these next four years.

Tonight, tune in to Civic Media at 6:45 pm for our coverage of Governor Evers’s State of the State address, anchored by our very own Todd Allbaugh! He’ll be joined by Pat Kreitlow, Civic Media Political Editor Dan Shafer and several members of our news team for up-to-date information and analysis.

How To Break Through The Noise with Trygve Olson (Hour 2)

January 8, 2025

After a break for the holidays, Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project is back to answer your questions. One caller asks Trygve how best to convey the danger of Donald Trump without comparing him to Hitler. This all ties back to psychology. Modern media has changed the way people ingest information, and Trygve breaks down some ways to combat this.

Todd and Trygve also ask What’s Worse: spicy or bland?

Today, Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project is in Madison for some meetings, so he joins us in-studio during our second hour! He weighs in as Todd asks What’s Worse: going up stairs or going down stairs? Todd and Trygve also take calls with your political questions about money in politics.

Over the weekend, we discovered that ABC News and George Stephanopolous agreed to settle a lawsuit with Donald Trump for approximately $16 million. With other arguably frivolous lawsuits being leveled against people like pollster Ann Selzer, this capitulation sets a dangerous precedent. Will all legacy media outlets give in to legal pressure and essentially admit to things they didn’t do?

Working Through Tragedy Together with Trygve Olson (Hour 1)

December 17, 2024

Todd has made it back from Seattle a bit earlier than expected. Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project was intending to guest host the show today, but in light of yesterday’s tragic shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, he and Todd are hosting together. As somebody who has lost a child, Trygve has a unique insight on the impact of events like these on families and communities.

Todd begins with a review of the information we know so far before asking the question: when is the right time to have policy discussions after tragic events? Is there even a real chance we can enact change while MAGA Republicans have control of our government?
