Today, Todd comes to us live from Buckley’s on Queen Anne in Seattle, Washington! Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project joins him there as they prepare to watch the Packers take on the Seahawks this Sunday. Both doctors and patients have been suffering for decades under the current system, and the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has brought the issue to a head. Todd, Trygve and Dr. Lyerly discuss what we may be able to do to enact change without violence. This complicated issue won’t be solved overnight, but we have to start somewhere. Ending on a lighter note, Dr. Lyerly gives us her predictions for the Packers game.

GOP Reps Are Neglecting Child Abuse Survivors (Hour 1)
It’s Wednesday, and that means a visit from Pat Kreitlow of UpNorthNews Radio and Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project! Todd reads from an article in Mother Jones about concerning cuts to programs that help child abuse survivors. This is not hypothetical, and it’s having real impact right here in our state. Politicians like Tom Tiffany are putting corporate interests over taking care of abused children in Hayward, and we must remember this next time he’s up for reelection.
After that discussion, Todd and Trygve answer questions from listeners about what may happen under President-elect Trump. Between cabinet picks, mass deportation and terminating constitutional amendments, we will have to wait and see how it all pans out.
