Still a Brick Wall, For Now (Hour 2)
New maps did the right thing: giving Wisconsin more competitive races and a more balanced Legislature. But the diminished number of Republicans lawmakers showed they remain indifferent to the voice of the voters, returning Assembly Speaker Robin Vos to a position that lets him bottle up the things that could benefit the state. We’ll talk to Rep. Jodi Emerson and Rep.-elect Christian Phelps about their hopes for putting a few cracks in the Speaker’s brick wall.

Off and Running (Hour 2)
We have multiple candidates making official announcements this morning that they’re running for seats in the Wisconsin Legislature. Our Women Win Wisconsin segment, now hosted by Motherhood for Good, welcomes Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski. And we’ll review last night’s episode of Top Chef with Luke Mathers.
What’s Next for Schools (Hour 2)
We’ll review key results from Wisconsin’s spring election contests, including nearly 100 school referendums around the state. What happens next in the districts where those requests failed despite the possibility of serious cuts to programs or positions?
Public Schools at the Head of the Class (2nd Hour)
We take note of Wisconsin Public Schools Week in our Homeroom segment—the value our hometown schools bring to our communities and the growing threat as politicians continue to suck our tax dollars out of local public schools to subsidize private schools with no better track record or accountability.
Bringing Home the Bacon (2nd Hour)
Sen. Tammy Baldwin is part of our first half-hour, describing how she helped bring home $1 billion for a massive but much needed infrastructure project up north. Then, in our weekly Homeroom segment, we get a sense of how many school districts are going to referendum this spring because the Legislature still refuses to fully fund a quality public education in our state.
Supporting and Educating All Students (Hour 2)
Tuesday was a very busy day for our friend Luke Mathers, so he joins us today instead for a round of Thursday Tangents! Milwaukee Superintendent Keith Posley also stops by to talk about the challenges of urban school districts. Afterward, Christian Phelps of the Wisconsin Public Education Network talks about managing communications for educational organizations.
