Park Falls, Wis. (WCQM/WPFP) – Park Falls’ 71st Flambeau Rama faced high temperatures and the threat of rain but that didn’t deter crowds of fairgoers from attending and enjoying the fair. There were several events including a new, unique race. The Park Falls Community Pool held their first annual Cardboard Box Race and saw dozens of spectators and many participants for several different categories. We spoke with Aiden Miesbauer and Maia Oswald about the event and its success.
“There were a lot of smiles on everybody’s faces,” Aiden commented, referring to the fun atmosphere the event built. “Even the kids who sunk their boat right away. It was a super fun time.” The event is planned to be annual during Flambeau Rama weekend with high hopes for next year’s race.
