Flambeau River YMCA Preparing to Open

Park Falls, Wis (WCQM/WPFP) – The Flambeau River YMCA in Park Falls is eagerly preparing for their April 16 opening We spoke with Scott Shultz, Executive Director of the Flambeau Y, about what the YMCA’s presence means for the community and his hopes for the future.

Schultz stated, “I think that the Y looks at Park Falls as an opportunity to make a major impact on the lives of a lot of people, but it’s also a central place. Park Falls is home to Park Falls residents but you have Eisenstein, Elk, Phillips, Town of Lake, Butternut, Glidden all in this small area but Park Falls is that hub…”

Along with an extensive fitness center, the Flambeau Y will feature childcare options, a lounge, a community gathering place, and group fitness classes.
