The Downfall Of Tommy Thompson (Hour 1)
Today is a national holiday: Pat Kreitlow’s birthday! Civic Media News Director Terry Bell joins us to celebrate. After that, Todd and Pat reflect on some news from the MAGA movement. Kevin Roberts, President of the Heritage Foundation, is now openly calling for violence. When reacting to the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity decision, he claimed that “we are in the process of the second American revolution, which will remain bloodless… if the left allows it to be.”
At the bottom of the hour, Todd addresses one of the elephants in the room. He and Trygve Olson often sing the praises of former Republican Governor Tommy Thompson, characterizing him as a cheerleader for Wisconsin. While he did fill that role, unfortunately, he has now chosen the side of Trump and Trumpism. Todd reflects on what it is that causes people to take this reprehensible stance.

This morning, former Republican US Representative Adam Kinzinger released a video on Twitter/X/Twix endorsing Joe Biden for reelection. He maintains that he is proudly conservative and doesn’t always agree with President Biden, but believes that Biden will maintain democracy and the rule of law. Todd and the gang listen to this new video and share their reactions.
We also hear from our friend and legal expert Matt Flynn on how recent Supreme Court decisions highlight its transformation from high court to an unelected and unaccountable super-legislative body. These corrupt justices are stopping at nothing to defy legal precedents and advance the MAGA agenda.
