Jim Santelle
Less [REDACTED], More Facts (Hour 1)
For today's first hour, Dom is joined by Jim Santelle, host of Amicus: A Law Review on Civic Media! Now that we've had some time to review some of Donald Trump's unsealed court documents, Jim explains the effects that these materials may have on the case and November's election. Judge Tanya Chutkan appears to be doing her best to advance the case despite Trump's efforts to delay it. Jim also provides his perspective on the likelihood of Trump serving jail or prison time from his 34 felonies.

We’ll talk to Mark Jacob about how the media continues tiptoeing around Donald Trump’s incoherence, racism, and lack of policy specifics. And we’ll preview a busy sports weekend, including the nationally-ranked Badger women’s and men’s hockey teams getting their new seasons going.

Criming, Criming Everywhere(Hour 2)
Jim Santelle joins us for the top of the hour to dig into another legal case. Current New York City Mayor, Eric Adams, faces criminal indictment for public corruption charges. Adams is the first sitting mayor of NYC to face indictment. The trial will begin soon, and as we learn more, we'll bring updates!
A caller diverts us to talking about immigrant crime. However, every bit of information we have shows that immigrants of all documentation status commit crimes at lower rates than US born citizens. The rate comparison is even more stark when comparing documented and undocumented immigrants.

Free expression: How much does it cost? What is it worth? (Hour 1)
Jim Santelle joins us to talk through some legal news.
The University of Wisconsin- La Crosse fired Joe Gow this week for his extracurricular activities. Again. Joe and his wife, on their own time, recorded and posted sex acts to several pornographic websites. The board of regents ousted Joe from his position as Chancellor late last year. Now, they've fired him from his tenured teaching position as well. Joe announced that he will sue the school under ground that his First Amendment rights were violated.
One person whose actions definitely do not fall under the canopy of First Amendment protections? Wausau Mayor Doug Diny. He claims that he removed a ballot box from outside City Hall due to a "philosophical difference" concerning voting. However, the right and responsibility to place drop boxes lies with the city CLERK, not the mayor.

Circus Journalism (Hour 2)
You can’t cover the circus if you’re sleeping with the elephants. That’s not the most elegant phrasing, but it leads into our discussion of how a prominent reporter known for her favorable coverage of Robert Kennedy, Jr. is suspended and accused of having a romantic relationship with her story subject. And we’ll discuss whether county sheriffs should be interpreting election law across Wisconsin.

Jim Santelle stays on for a second hour for an early Law Review before his Saturday Amicus show. He and Dom check in on the current legal cases facing former POTUS Trump. In Georgie, Scott McAfee dropped two charges related to conspiracy and election interference against Trump. Jim breaks down why, and why it's probably correct. Then they move on to discussing the ongoing turmoil the Haitian immigrant communities of Springfield, OH face. Trump and Vance continue to claim without any evidence whatsoever that immigrants are harming pets. It is not true. And these lies are dangerous. Finally, checking in on the documents case in Florida.
