Make Tariffs Great Again (Hour 1)

May 1, 2025

Well it's it's taken some time, but The Felon President seems to be coming around to the fact that tariffs aren't going to be the win he said they would be. But of course, that's on us to accept and deal with it with some weird gift advice from the president. And should businesses display the cost of those tariffs on their receipts? Then, Jim Santelle, Former US Attorney and host of Amicus: A Law Review joins the show to give an update on the state of Milwaukee Judge Hannah Dugan, who was arrested last week outside the courthouse. Jim gives much needed incite on the process of how her arrest happened, as well as what this means for others who might stand in the way of The Trump Administration.

A Modern Day Quisling (Hour 2)

April 25, 2025

Hillary Clinton got it right in 2016 when she tried to warn Americans that Donald Trump would be a “Putin puppet” if elected. But perhaps the president has earned an even stronger title: Quisling. We’ll talk to our Week In Review panel about that and more. Plus an update on sentencing for a man in an Illinois parade shooting who nearly attempted the same mass murder in Wisconsin. And we’ll talk about the first round of the NFL Draft in Green Bay.

Mornings with Pat Kreitlow airs on several stations across the Civic Media radio network, Monday through Friday from 6-9 am. Subscribe to the podcast to be sure not to miss out on a single episode! Deportation Drama and Gold Obsession (Hour 2)

April 22, 2025

John and Gordy tackle the chaotic world of current events, starting with the controversial deportation of two German teens from Hawaii for lack of hotel bookings, sparking tourism concerns. The conversation shifts to the Supreme Court's mixed decisions, including a surprising defense of Obamacare and a troubling stance on gun rights for youths. The show also covers Trump's bizarre gold obsession, as discussed on The Daily Show, and a comedic take on authoritarian aesthetics. Guest Jim Santel weighs in on legal challenges facing the Trump administration and the importance of due process. A lively mix of legal insights, comedic banter, and a sprinkle of absurdity.

Nixon Was an Amateur (Hour 2)

April 11, 2025

We’re 50 years removed from Watergate, when Richard Nixon faced impeachment for trying to use the US Department of Justice to go after his political enemies. Now Donald Trump is weaponizing DoJ in ways that make Nixon look like an amateur. So we’ll ask our Week In Review panel if turnabout is fair play: Can we stop pretending that president’s cannot face criminal charges when they commit actual crimes? Also: Corrine Hendrickson has results of a statewide survey of childcare providers, showing the dire straits the industry is in—and could get worse if Republicans writing the next state budget leave them high and dry.

1000 Points, In 30 Minutes (Hour 1)

April 10, 2025

Stock market experts and loyalists to The Felon President were ecstatic about yesterday's huge rebounds in the market due to Trump pulling back almost all the tariffs he proposed, which was due in part to the bond market. But that was yesterday, today, during the show, we witnessed fluctuations leading the Dow Jones to tumble 2000 points (at the time of this posting, the loss is over 1800 points), but don't worry, it's only money, so stop whining. We also take a look at a disgraced former Milwaukee Police officer who is a part of the mass deportation effort. Then, Jim Santelle, host of Amicus: A Law Review is here to talk about free press getting their day, Federally funded SLAPP suits, our Federal Judges holding onto the guardrails and the reiteration of due process for all under The US Constitution.

Now tell us something good! (Hour 2)

April 4, 2025

Jim Santelle, host of Amicus: A Law Review, joins us as cohost for this final day of the Dom Salvia Show. We covered a bit of news in the first hour. Now let's get to the good stuff. At the beginning of this year, Jess P-S (hi, that's me, writing all these podcasts) convinced Dom to start a new segment. Each day, at the end of the show, we asked you to tell us something good. I felt it was necessary, what with so much of the news being so awful every day. And so I asked Dom if we could use the last segment of the day to refocus, recenter, and prioritize what really matters- our connections and the joy we find in life. And (almost) every day since, we've ended the show with something good.

Now, for one last hour, we ask you to tell us something good. And we'll tell ya something good in return.

Thank You (Hour 1)

April 4, 2025

Jim Santelle, host of Amicus: A Law Review, joins us as cohost for this final day of the Dom Salvia Show. There's a bit of news to cover today, but mostly we're here to celebrate 7 months of the Dom Salvia Show and Dom's 13 years in radio! On the news side, we cover continued fallout from President Trump's tariffs and the increasing likelihood that members of Trump's DoJ will face contempt charges in federal court. Oh yeah, and AG Josh Kaul dropped the entire ball in his lawsuit against Musk right before the spring election. We also talk with Ajak Johnson, organizer for wome of the Wisconsin 50501 "hands off" protests for democracy and against Elon Musk. But beyond that, we really want to use this hour to thank you, the listeners. Thank you for being along with us on this ride, for listening, calling, texting, and rocking!

Are We Liberated Yet? (Hour 2)

April 4, 2025

Congressman Mark Pocan joins our week-in-review panel to talk about this week’s events in Washington, DC. It was a short week for Congress, as the Speaker of the House chose to send everyone home early rather than adopt a bipartisan proposal to make life easier for new parents serving in the US House.

Lawfare Isn’t Even A Thing, Bro! (Hour 2)

April 3, 2025

In the second hour, Jim Santelle is a Former US Attorney and Host of Amicus: A Law Review and he joins us to talk about all the things happening in law news. And apparently, there's a lot, including a heated discussion between Senators Ted Cruz and Amy Klobuchar and more judges are doing the work of protecting the US Constitution. And we're talking sports with Journal Sentinel writer and our sports guru, JR Radcliffe. This week, the Brewers and Bucks (finally) win! And we talk about the bats, as well as the belief we all have in Freddy. To round out the show, we have This Shouldn't Be A Thing - Gobble Gobble Edition

Checks and Balances (Hour 2)

March 28, 2025

Jim Santelle, host of Amicus: A Law Review, joins us as cohost for the day. In this hour, we discuss the American system of government. We are not a monarchy. Nor should we be an oligarchy. We are a democratic republic with three co-equal branches of government with checks and balances on each other. Those checks are vital to maintaining and protecting the will of the people. Sometimes, these checks require one branch to step in and challenge or restrict the actions of another branch. So when members of President Trump's administration proclaim that federal judges, parts of the co-equal Judicial Branch, need to be removed for challenging the Constitutionality of Trump's actions, we're concerned.

Also this hour, we discuss further fallout from Signalgate- or Whiskeyleaks if you're feeling petty. A major concern we have over this ordeal is that citizens cannot file requests for documents under the Freedom of Information Act when said documents are on Signal. Here again, checks and balances matter. The Legislative and Judicial branches now must respond to these egregious violations in the Executive.
