Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. (WFHR, WIRI) – Senator Patrick Testin recently attended a groundbreaking event for Versiti in the Wauwatosa area. The Versiti blood donation center there is collecting life saving donations regularly, and also conducting medical research. You can read more about the progressive work at Versiti on their website.

Recently named the legislator of the year by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Senator Testin gave his heartfelt thanks to our veterans for all that they sacrificed for us. Sen. Testin’s gratitude is only amplified by his gratitude for the organization which awarded him this honor.

Senator Testin spent a moment discussing the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin Contest”. You can vote for what you consider to be the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin. Enter a vote each week until October 17th when the winner will be announced. The contest is bracket style, found on the contest website.

The Senate Scholars Program is a way for High School students to get some perspective on the actual work done by senators in Wisconsin. Patrick Testin works with some of these young scholars, and encourages parents and teens that are interested to reach out to his office.

The interview closed with both sides of the conversation encouraging working across the aisle and focusing on working towards shared goals, rather than on political differences. To hear the full Interview on Mid-Day Magazine, from September 20, 2024,  you can find it on our website.
