The Richland Center girls volleyball came from behind to win a 5 set match against Luther in the second round of the WIAA tournament Thursday night. After winning the first set quickly, 25-14, Richland Center than lost the next two by scores of 25-15, and 25-23. The Hornets than got back on track against the Knights and claimed a 25-19 win in set four, and they took the fifth 15-6. The win improved Richland Centers season record to 30-8 and it sends them to Saturday nights Regional championship match against Aquinas.

Senior Soleil Ewing led with 16 kills on the night, Junior Danica Pauls had 5 ace serves. The Senior leadership came through for Richland Center as Lillian Tydrich, Carley Mieden, Chole Darling, Ava Cosgrove, and Madelynn Huber all played huge roles in the victory.

Luther saw its season end at 18-13.0 They were led by Seniors Maggie Bettin, and Sienna Horstman.

Following the 5 set win, Richland Center will play in La Crosse Saturday night at 7:00 p. Their opponent will be Aquinas after they enjoyed a 2nd round win in four sets over Darlington.
