OSHKOSH, WI–(WGBW&WISS)–VenuWorks has been operating and managing the Oshkosh Arena since August. The home of the Wisconsin Herd is planning lots of activities and shows, after a summer of instability. The new management has cleaned the building, hired staff, and is ready for business.
Andy Linton is the Executive Director of the Oshkosh Arena said that the Arena is more than just the Herd.
“VenuWorks. We bring content to buildings, and that’s what we strive to do in all of our buildings,” said Linton. “We’re looking to bring different acts, different shows, and not just be ‘Home of the Herd.’”
Maria Turner, Marketing and Sales Manager for the Oshkosh Arena, echoed Linton’s sentiments. She said that with VenuWorks’ connections to promoters, more concerts and events will come to the Arena. She also mentioned that local community events will be a big part of it.
“We’re looking at other things. Community Projects. The Oshkosh Indoor Farmer’s Market kicks off in our space this coming Saturday,” Turner said. “We have over 50 vendors, local vendors, from Oshkosh and the Fox Cities and beyond. And they are very excited to come into the space.”
Turner said parties, events, conventions, whatever people can imagine, VenuWorks Oshkosh Arena is ready to go.
Linton added that the consumer experience is the Oshkosh Arena’s primary concern.
“We’re gonna focus on good quality food, good quality shows, and the experience. Because at the end of the day, that’s what everybody wants, is a good experience,” Linton said.
