Then on the John & Gordy Show, John and Gordy welcome their old friend Chris Kammer, the Rock ‘n Roll dentist, to talk about his music with Madison legend Art Paul Schlosser, and what's new in the world of dentistry.
After that, the Earl Ingram Show is joined by Mary Sanderson, to talk about the Money for May Day rally happening this Saturday in Chicago. The rally seeks to unite all voices for social and economic justice. Earl and Mary talk about the monetary policy of the United States throughout history and the negative effects our banking system has on us all.
And to wrap up the week, it’s pollination season! Maino & the Mayor continue their conversation about bees swarming this time of year and what to do if you see them.

Kicking off this hour, Matenaer On Air is joined by Dr. Karin Tamerius, a political psychiatrist, and the founder of Smart Politics which is a nonprofit that teaches progressives how to communicate more productively and persuasively with people who disagree with them, including conservatives. They talk about the work necessary to have those discussions and what it takes from those trying to do the convincing.
Then, on Up North News Radio with Pat Kreitlow, Pat dives into Microsoft’s president commenting on bringing thousands of jobs to Racine. Pat then calls out House Speaker Mike Johnson for playing the fear card about election integrity and exposes Rep. Tom Tiffany for playing politics with the US census.
After that, the John & Gordy Show is joined by Associate Editor of the Cap Times John Nichols to comment on the encampment at UW Madison, and shares how protest relates to the Wisconsin Idea.

Civic Media Spotlight for April 27th & 28th (Hour 2)
Kicking off this hour of the Civic Media Spotlight, Ron Brooks VP from the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) joined Maino & the Mayor to talk a bit more about the WAMI awards that will take place in Green Bay on May 19th at the Epic Center. The show also discusses with Ron the importance of music and the arts in schools. Ron also announces the 2024 inductees into the WAMI Hall of Fame!
Then, Pat Kreitlow shares his thoughts on how Republican legislators blocked millions for the UW System until they could blackmail diversity programs. Now they’re blocking millions to clean up contaminated drinking water, millions of dollars to address a healthcare crisis in the Chippewa Valley, and now they’re blocking $36 million in opioid settlement money from being used for proven treatment and counseling programs.
After that, the Chad Holmes Show is joined by 7th District Congressional candidate Kyle Kilbourn to discuss his campaign and current events around central and northern Wisconsin.
Rounding out the Spotlight, the John and Gordy show was joined by Lisa Gaumnitz from Save Our Song Birds and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to talk about "Fat Bird Week".

Civic Media Spotlight for March 23rd (Hour 1)
We have a tremendous hour of content from morning shows across the Civic Media network. Up first, Stephanie Krubsack joined Maino & the Mayor this week. Stephanie is in Green Bay right now to do a special protégé project with the Packers, but also travels the world and blogs about her experiences. Her brand, Purevant Livving focuses on health, wellness, the environment and giving back. Purevant is part of the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. She's even eaten part of a tarantula spider! Great life story!
Then on Up North News Radio, Pat discusses the new RNC and how a portion of donations will go to help former President Trump with his legal fees and judgment payments. He opens with a comparison of what would happen if Hunter Biden were to take over the DNC and the uproar over such a situation.
After that, John and Gordy get an update about the current status of the redistricting saga in Wisconsin from the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, Nick Ramos. Nick provides a recap of how the state got to where it is now in the process and shares an update on the status of the new legislative maps for the state.
Finally, Susan Feehrer-Laack, Executive Director of Racine Neighborhood Watch joins the Don Rosen Show to talk about their “Take a Taste Out of Crime” fundraiser, Friday night at Roma Lodge, and how our listeners can get involved with Neighborhood watch.
