Let’s Get Into It (Hour 1)

December 5, 2024

There are concerns that the recent court ruling overturning Act 10 means that next year’s Wisconsin Supreme Court race will have an outsized focus on a law from 13 years ago. Political strategist Joe Zepecki says we may as well get into it, since one of the candidates for justice was part of the original challenge to Act 10 anyway—and it’s not a bad thing to focus on protecting workers’ rights. Also: A friend of the show writes a column about President Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter and how it gives us all a lesson in the power of grace to help others struggling with addiction.

The Mood Matters (Hour 2)

November 14, 2024

Democratic political advisor and strategist Joe Zepecki joins Dom and Earl for a half hour digging into what the hell happened. Was it an uninformed public? A lack of focus on the reality of people feeling left behind by the economy? What about the mood that the Harris-Walz ticket embraced? Was their joy just too out of touch in a change era? And what in the name of Democracy do we do now?

Well, we get involved. Be part of the civic discourse. Engage, ask questions, share your opinions with your elected officials. Hold them accountable for representing YOU.

Can You Buy a Senate Seat for $20 Million? (1st Hour)

October 17, 2024

That should probably be the first question in Friday evening’s debate for Eric Hovde, as he puts another $7 million of his own money into challenging Sen. Tammy Baldwin. If you put $20 million of your own cash into a campaign, you’d probably get a little nasty too. We’ll talk to Joe Zepecki about that and more of this week’s big Wisconsin stories.
