MAMA Cares
Part two of our show today begins with a conversation about Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick's backwards thoughts on tariffs and economic downturn. After chatting with a caller about cuts to the National Parks Service, the discussion turns to "entitlements" like Medicare and Social Security, that Musk wants to cut, but, as we all know, provide huge amounts of help to the people of the US. We check in with our WMDX Meteorologist Brittney Merlot for some chatter about the weather, and welcome to the show Robert J, founder of MAMA Cares with the Madison Area Music Association, to talk about the work the organization does for local musicians facing medical debt. They've got their 10th anniversary coming up on March 30th, and are celebrating with a benefit concert at the High Noon Saloon. Wrapping up the show, we hear all about yesterday's Stand up for Science protest, with lots of great protest signs, and also some off-the-rails clips of Stephen Miller's rants.
