Understanding Political Polarization with Bill McCoshen (Hour 2)
In our second hour, Republican strategist and hockey aficionado Bill McCoshen talks about working across the aisle to get things done. He believes that social media is a major contributor to today’s political hostility. Conversations become too impersonal over the internet, and we fail to see what we have in common with political opponents. Outside of politics, McCoshen is an owner of the Janesville Jets, a local NAHL team! He talks about his passion for hockey and the opportunities he hopes to provide for kids.
At the bottom of the hour, John Nichols of The Nation and The Cap Times returns to the show. He talks about the fascinating developments in political ideology. The Democratic party is experiencing a strong transition as they embrace their base by supporting unions.
