Now GOP lawmakers want to drag the UW down further. Instead of considering the requests from Gov. Tony Evers and hundreds of business leaders for an overdue funding increase, Republicans are now talking about cutting UW funding. Why? Their perpetual whining about “political correctness” has them demanding changes in how ideas are discussed. How much closer to Orwell’s “Thinkpol” can they get?
