A resident of Marathon County since the age of 3, I know the history, leaders, issues and people of this area. Educated from kindergarten through graduation in the D.C. Everest school district and spending my first two years of college at the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County gave me a great foundation for the work I have done in radio in central Wisconsin for the past 30 years. Telling the stories of the student-athletes who it has been my pleasure to cover all of these years has been the greatest joy of my life, along with meeting the parents and grandparents who appreciate the power that radio has. Since joining Civic Media in the summer of 2022 it has been the greatest challenge of my life to launch the “Chad Holmes Show” and talk about the vital issues that have sparked so many discussions within our community. Important issues like school consolidation, clean water, homelessness, the rebuilding of the Wausau Mall area and more each weekday morning. It’s a responsibility I take seriously for the people of my lifetime home.
