I think the big thing has to be that the Wisconsin Elections Commission released their report into the Madison clerk's office and it was brutal.
A fair statement, you know, all regarding those 193 ballots that were found after the November election and then not counted.
That report said that some of those could have been counted if the clerk's office did something about it.
for the canvas.
Some of them were not found in time.
But they found that former city clerk Mary Beth Whitzelbell violated the law on five counts, basically, how they handled things like poll books, how they handled the absentee ballots, stuff like that.
You know, the word astonishing, 400 page document.
Wow.
It was it was a lot.
Um, it was, it seemed more thorough than the city's investigation, in my opinion, after seeing both of those reports.
Um, and it was, uh, obviously she was suspended and then resigned earlier this year.
Um, but it also specifically calls out the deputy clerk, um, and said that when these ballots were found, she did nothing as in Witzelbelle did nothing.
And then the deputy clerk did nothing.
Um, and it was really, uh,
Shocking you was the word that the journal Sentinel used and I think scathing is a very accurate description of what came out of this report.
I'll
This was undisputed.
She was on vacation.
She left right after the election and was out for about a month and then didn't tell, I mean, didn't tell anybody outside the clerk's office until late December, or at least in December, I believe the
Yeah, the more you learn, the worse it gets, you know, and they learned a lot in this investigation.
Yeah, it was, it was a rough read, not going to lie, you know, simply because they said this undermines everybody's faith in how it all works, right?
Well, we can talk about some positive stuff because we've got a busy weekend this weekend, you know.
The victory is supposed to reopen.

The staffing was just fine, and the White House has concurred with this to get the forecast out, to get the watches and warnings issued.
But when you send a message, there's no guarantee it's being received, so someone needs to follow up, and that's the Warning Board Nation meteorologist, a position that was vacant.

It was House bill 13 a modest 500 million dollars were proposed for sirens radio towers and disaster communication upgrades past the house but and died in the Senate in Texas
so they just didn't think ahead, they didn't think it was that important, no big deal before that, so why spend the money?
Yeah, well that's Texas for you.
They just think they can take care of it by not doing anything.
That's the same thing that happened with their power grid.
that they have a year or two, a couple of years ago.
They didn't need it before, but now things are getting worse
And, you know, they should really think ahead.
And all these people's lives have ended simply because they wanted to save some money in here in Wisconsin and Republicans don't want to spend any money on the public or the public good simply because, well, that expands government.
What kind of reason is that?

He came up with a whole agenda.
He's been executing it all and giving Trump all the advice that he needs, and Trump doesn't have to keep track of any of that.

That's why he's not familiar with some of the issues.
So I think it's all on vote.

Kristi Noem, who, according to sources from CNN, was three days late in signing off her new procedure as any expenditure over $100,000 has to be personally signed off on by her.
And if you can imagine a disaster like this, I mean, you're dealing in millions and millions.
In billions, actually.
Yeah.

Very soon.
So it's a consequence that, I mean, I shouldn't laugh, but it's just pathetic.
The fresh water or the fast water rescue crews were not released until Monday, three days after this event happened.
And apparently there were Mexican crews who are specialized in fast water rescue, who were there the day after.
They were there the day
after.
So I don't know, do we outsource our FEMA response to Mexico?
Maybe that's what we should do.
And apparently Ms.
Nome has responded to the CNN report by the usual, they're all lies and it's trash journalism and I'm perfect.
And but she's so Wednesday.
She doubled down on calls to eliminate the FEMA, says it should be remade and quote, this is the best line.
It says this entire agency needs to be eliminated as it exists today and be remade into a responsive agency.
Perhaps if she got out of the way, it might be easier to make it a responsive agency.
Absolutely.

I'm going to talk about two of those bands right now.
Parker Barrow.

We all know them, but this is Megan Kane and Dylan Turner.
He's the drummer.
They're together.

Blues, infused Southern rock and roll.

They're in Spain, right?
Then they're heading to U.K.
for some dates, and then they come to Wisconsin.
July 25th and 26th, they're at Prairie Dog Blues Fest in Prairie, Dushan.
And then Sunday, July 27th, Atwood Fest on the Clyde Stubblefield stage.
Also on the stage that day, Steely Dane, Kelsey Miles, then Parker Barrow, and the Brothers Almond Act.

And then the people that were hosting it, which was the Goodman Center, ended up saying, we can't do this anymore.
We're focusing on other stuff.
And that's when the Barrymore, it was the Willmar Center then, and Sassy Neighborhood Organization took up
the hosting in that festival, and then I kind of went from one festival to the next and kept right on booking.
