Broadcasting across the state of Wisconsin on the Civic Media Radio Network and around the world on the Civic Media app.
This is the Dom Salvia Show.
And now, here's your host, Dom Salvia.
And welcome to the Dom Salvia Show.
Happy Thursday, Wednesday.
What day is it today?
It's...
It's Wednesday, Thursday.
Happy
Thursday,
man.
Got Earl with me here on this wonderful Thursday here in Southeast Wisconsin.
Got just PS on the board.
You can check out Earl's show Monday through Friday.
Pretty sure those are the days eight to 10 a.m.
cross the civic media radio network.
Earl, always a pleasure, man.
Thanks for joining me
again.
You mean to tell me there's some news to talk about
me as, as we're preparing for the show as we sometimes do, you know, early I just get into it.
We just started.
start talking like, Oh
my
God, what about this?
And what about that?
And what about this?
And the next thing you know, it's like, Oh, Dave, we got to turn these mics on.
And Jess just quietly rips up the notes.
Thank you.
Thank you, Jess.
Uh, folks, you can join us as well.
Eight, five, five, seven, five, two, four, eight, four, two.
Uh, a lot of things to get to today.
We're going to have some updates on the Wisconsin Supreme court race.
Uh, more things being said by Brad Schimmel, you know, as we're talking before the show does like, well, where is the dumb?
things that Susan Crawford has said.
I don't hear them.
What's the insulting things that we've heard that Susan Crawford's on the mic saying?
I don't hear them.
If we have them, we'll play them.
boy, we, we got a library of Brad Schimmel.
Cause this guy, he just continues to say dumb things and insulting things and perhaps misleading things as well.
We'll go there as well.
On the DNC, they're getting involved here in the state of Wisconsin as well.
Early voter turnout, that's going very well.
Glad to see that folks.
Don't forget early voting going on right now.
You can do that.
Also in the second hour early, we're going to get to what's going
What's going on in the Democratic Party?
Are you mad at the Democratic Party?
Who's the leadership of the Democratic Party?
Did we get anything when Chuck Schumer accepted in the U.S.
Senate, the Republicans continuing resolution?
We're gonna go through that as well.
Perhaps get your thoughts on who you think should be leading the Democratic Party?
Oh, hell, just leading anybody.
We need some leadership, Pearl, somewhere, somehow, and so please.
Someone step up be a leader.
We'll talk about that as well.
Perhaps some of the culture wars as well Earl Brad Schimmel this Wisconsin Supreme Court election Daniel Bice writing up at the Milwaukee Journal certainly got to love it and jump into just a little bit of the article
apparently at a save America rally last August, cause it's, you know, you gotta save America rally at the
save America.
How's it going America?
Is that, is that working
out for us?
Is it great?
Is it great?
I don't feel safe at the save America rally.
Schimel deemed the newest member of the court, Janet Portisiewicz, the least sophisticated.
And then it has some really mean things to say.
We have the sound.
Let's
hear, let's hear Brad
Schimel at the save America rally last August.
By the way, I don't like the pro-choice title.
Sorry, wrong one.
And now they got Janet Proto-Savage, elected to the court.
She was the least sophisticated of them.
And by least sophisticated, I mean dumb as a sack of hammers.
Wow, dude.
Dumb as a sack of hammers.
Least sophisticated.
I mean, how is, so this guy's super insulting, but this is also the same guy, Earl, who, what?
lamenting these Milwaukee late night ballot drops.
Remember that?
Do we have that?
So let's remind her
every time the election comes around and the Republican loses, you know what they always get mad about?
Milwaukee counting their absentee ballots after seven p.m.
You know, because it's the law.
And it could have been changed by the Republicans, but they declined in the Senate to pick it up.
It actually passed the House in a bipartisan measure to allow Milwaukee to start counting these ballots earlier than that.
So we wouldn't have to have results at all hours of the morning, which gives justification for schmucks like Schimmel and, and, and, and Hovdee and Scott Walker to, oh my God, they finally came in Milwaukee.
They, you know, 80,000 folks went against me.
It must be fraud.
I don't know what's happening.
But do you, or are you?
really is dumb as a sack of hammers.
Mr. Schimel,
get our votes banked.
Make this too big to rig.
So we don't have to worry that 1130 in Milwaukee, they're going to find bags of ballots.
I forgot to put into the machines like they did in 2018 or in 2020 or when Eric Covey, you know, was ahead all night.
And then all of a sudden Milwaukee County changed that.
I don't know what happened.
I don't know if there was fraud there.
There's no way for me to know that.
Yeah, there is kind of a way to know that.
We do recods, you know, you can file some lawsuits if you have some probable causes, all sorts of things that can happen.
Earl, thank you for joining me, man.
I mean, this guy really gets to be going and we're getting closer and closer to this election and he just, it's hard for me to say how much I really, really, really don't like this guy.
You know, Dominic, help me understand.
He talked about, you know, we got to get this done before something happens.
And then he says, well, I don't know if any of those things did happen.
Well, come on, man.
Come on.
You know, one thing for sure, I listen well, right?
So I heard him initially say, we have to make sure we get.
the early vote because of what happened the prior years.
And then it came back and said, well, I really can't, you know, I can't put my, my hands up.
So, you know, Dominic, you know how it works.
When the Republicans lose, it's fixed.
When they win, everything's all right.
It's just like a man, it's just like a child, man.
If Donald Trump would have lost the election, can you imagine?
where we would be right now, that there'd be, you know, there'd be no peace at all in this country.
And they would be turning things over.
They would still be whining and crying and saying the election was rigged.
You know, but Eric, but, but Brad Schimel, I heard him.
That must have been yesterday.
That last piece that you played because I heard him yesterday.
Missy.
I listened to conservative talk radio man and I'm listening to this man and I'm saying okay this is the same guy who during the debate kind of said you know we shouldn't get into you know
Republican Democrat, what's the worst word I'm looking for?
Partisan attacks.
Partisan politics.
So what was he just doing?
Well, that was last August at the Save America rally, man.
Totally, totally different.
Well, it seemingly when he's, depending on who he's talking to, he'll say these kinds of
things.
Yes.
Yeah.
And it's as Bice points out in the Milwaukee General Assembly article, this accusation, this...
calling Proto-Sawits as dumb as a sack of hammers.
Kind of goes like a Republican, Kevin Nicholson made a claim for a user goal that former Lieutenant Rebecca Clayfish was dumb as a box, a bag of hammers.
You know, these guys digging deep for their insulting of the women.
Let's not forget that.
I mean, this is also, it's not just about politics.
It's also about gender in my opinion.
He goes on to say, well,
On Jill Karofsky, right?
He goes after Jill Karofsky.
Adled and crazy?
Oh, let's hear, let's hear more.
Sure, a little bit of a longer clip.
He really gets into it.
Okay, let's hear
it.
Blow your mind.
is the 1849 law superseded by the laws that have been passed more recently during Roe v. Wade.
That's the argument in this case.
She, correct me if I'm wrong, Scott, and I'm not going to imitate her because it would be rude.
She was yelling at the top of her lungs at his lawyer in the Wisconsin Supreme Court on audio video that he's signing the death warrant for thousands of women and thousands of babies.
First off, who signed the death warrant for the babies?
What the heck is she talking about?
Where are all these thousands of women that are going to... But that's not even the point.
It's not the
point those women...
That she's so addled that she could not carry her demeanor like a justice is supposed to or a judge anywhere.
This is the crazy we're up against.
And to get to the point, Jess did the homework.
You actually went and found the
sound
of this accusation as
Justice
Karofsky talking to this attorney.
And just
listen to how absolutely hysterical.
Adult hysterical.
She's crazy.
She's crazy, I tell you.
And he said it, yelling
at the top of her lungs.
Let's hear Justice Karofsky at the top of her lungs according to Brad
Schimmel.
I fear that what you are asking this court to do is to sign the death warrants of women and children and pregnant people in the state, because under your interpretation, they could all be denied life-saving medical care while the medical professionals who are charged with taking care of them are forced to sit idly by.
This is the world gone mad.
I don't understand how that is not the crime
here.
sense the passion, certainly in her
voice.
And I think if that's just a file, but certainly addled, screaming at the top of her lungs.
Brad Schimel, are you kidding me?
I don't know, you know, how you grew up, man, but obviously you never had any Italian women around you because
you
would
know what's screaming at the
top
of
your lungs sounds like.
What are your thoughts, man?
Well, first off, when you've been around a little while, I used to listen to Brad Schimel.
Because I'll tell you, this is the conservative talk written before he even was given the opportunity to be in the positions he's in by Scott Walker.
And Brad Schimmel was not far up the list for, you know, that conservatives looked at as somebody as rising star.
You know, Brad Schimmel is not, you hear him speak, man.
He is not a guy that you say, oh, man, this guy should be.
a Supreme Court justice.
It's not there, man.
And so just hearing him over the years and thinking that he's a heartbeat away from becoming a Supreme Court justice.
Man, it's hard to fathom.
Yet he called Janet Prokofievich.
He said she was dumb.
as a bag of hammers.
You know, man, he's not exactly the brightest car, you know, in the universe, man.
He's not a very bright guy.
And the fact that they're putting him up to become a Supreme Court justice, really kind of shameful.
As far as I'm concerned, they couldn't find somebody brighter than he is.
No, this guy has been running for like the last year and a half for this
job.
He wants it, baby.
He wants it.
Don't let him get it.
Early voting is going on right now.
Go out vote for Susan Crawford.
Early votes, man.
Almost double where we were two years ago at this time.
So there is a lot of passion and presumably there's lots of conservatives getting out there as well.
You heard Brad Schimmel bank those early votes because you know, Milwaukee's going to come in.
and imagine the largest city in the state might have some influence on the election.
Two bad Republicans won't let them count those absentee ballots early.
Come back with us, Earl Ingram joining us 855-752-4842.
And welcome back to the Dom Salvia show.
Phone lines are open 855-752-484-2855-755.
CIVIC.
Just PS working hard on the board, spinning the tunes.
Earl Ingram joining me as co-host today.
You can check out his fine program Monday through Friday right here on the CIVIC Media Radio Network.
8 to 10 a.m.
Love it when Earl comes around.
Talking right now about the Wisconsin Supreme Court race.
And if you don't know, well, now you know, Schimel, not the brightest guy, but he's fine with, you know, calling out other people's intelligence and seemingly mocking the women on the court.
It seems to be a theme throughout these Republicans over the years, hell, even against the only Republican women like Clayfish.
But this is a national story, Earl.
And ABC News is reporting that the DNC
set to announce that on Tuesday its earliest ever new election cycle investment into the Wisconsin Supreme Court race to help boost organizing on the ground the Democratic Party will host phone banks and call more than two million Wisconsin voters in support of Crawford
Damn.
DNC's new investment will be used for on-the-ground operations, including organizing peer-to-peer texting and mobilizing thousands of volunteers to help the Wisconsin Democratic Coordinated Campaign.
Last month, DNC Chair Ken Martin was in Wisconsin canvassing for the Wisconsin Democratic Coordinated Campaign.
We know the election is coming up April 1st.
Folks, don't forget the investment being made in the DNC comes on the first day of early voting.
Wisconsin is from yesterday.
The race will also preview how voters in the background state feel a few months into.
President Trump's election.
I mean this is a referendum already Earl on Trump's administration in my opinion.
Quickly a quote from Ben Wickler, the chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party with Wisconsin voters up against the world's richest man.
This is an all hands on deck moment and we're thrilled to have the support of the DNC in this fight.
Elections in Wisconsin often come down to a hair's breadth and every voter we can turn out to support Judge Susan Crawford and Dr. Jill Underly in April 1st can make the difference between keeping Wisconsin
on a path of progress or letting Elon Musk and Donald Trump drag us backwards.
Earl, DNC, national attention, new ads getting rolled out according to The Hill by Susan Crawford.
How you feeling these days, ma'am?
You know, man, the Republicans are such hypocrites.
I was listening to the conservative radio this morning as I drive into the studio every day.
And they were whining and crying about the national Democratic Party getting involved.
Oh, the Democratic Party.
And they're getting involved in this.
And my, you know, why do these guys have to get involved?
Hey, man.
You know what I mean?
Elon Musk can drop whatever it is he wants to drop.
And the Democratic Party should not get involved in this race is what they're saying.
That's what they're saying.
Yeah.
Yeah, especially here at the state level, that there's something wrong as if a crime has been committed, Dominic.
You know, the fact that the Democrats are doing what they have to do.
We spent 10 years with Republican rule at the Supreme Court, man.
And yet the Republicans are saying that, you know, if you allow this to happen and they're trying to rev up their troops.
They're going to play politics.
Oh, excuse me, politics.
They're going to play politics.
If you let the Democrats get in, they're going to play politics.
What was it over that 10-year span, maybe a little bit longer than that, that we all had to deal with when they were in charge of the Supreme Court?
We still
haven't recovered.
And they're saying, and they're using the verbiage.
They're going to gerrymander This is where republicans are saying that the republican talk shows if you let them in they'll gerrymander and and all of the Victories that we had
You know under
the Republican gerrymandered maps, you know, these these Republicans know something about gerrymandering Erlke They were living that world for like 10 12 years man I mean that it was it was it was the most significant political gerrymander in the history of the world as far as I know Certainly history of this country went up to the Supreme Court and they said we don't know how to really judge this How do you gauge?
Because you can't you know, you certainly can't a gerrymander based on race and things
like that, but apparently on politics, you can.
And then that's, that's what they did.
And if you listen to Robin Voss, the assembly speaker here in the state of Wisconsin, no, they just got better candidates and better ideas.
Well, all of a sudden, of course, we, we got a, a, a non-conservative Supreme court.
They overturned the gerrymander and oh man, look what happened.
All of a sudden the Dems picked up a few more seats.
Now the Republicans are still in control.
Right, we still got a long way to go, but at least it's a little more level.
How hard, I mean, how terrible is that Republicans to, you know, try to get on a level playing field with everybody?
You know, you got a gerrymandered to such a degree that they brought an outside council.
People had assigned nondisclosure agreements, and they showed you your own little part.
I mean, this drove Republican State Senator Dale Schultz out of the party.
You know what I'm saying?
I mean, this is what they've been doing, and now they're going to accuse everybody else of what they've been doing.
in one year, you've kind of seen, we've kind of seen some changes and you started to really realize the impact.
We've been in such a quagmire as Democrats at this state level with Republicans controlling everything.
We almost forgot what it's like for there to even be any balance or any fairness.
For heaven's sakes, I talked with State Senator Chris Larson last week and I asked him, man, as long as you've been
And, you know, the legislature, you've never seen Democrats, and he's been there a while, in control, man.
You know what I mean?
He's never.
So in all the time that he's been there, so we know what the outcome of these things, it would be different, Dominic, if the outcome of what they did didn't have some major impact and effect on the lives of the citizens of this state.
But, but they did, right?
Major impact on us.
Folks who are listening to the Dom Salvi show my co-host for the day Earl Ingram from the Earl Ingram show Broadcasting right here on the civic media radio network 8 to 10 a.m.
Monday through Friday He's gonna join us up until the 6 o'clock hour of course remember we always wrap the day up by telling us something good You'll always enjoy that you can join us as well 8 5 5 7 5 2 4 8 4 2 8 5 5 7 5 Civic when we come back the Trump administration making efforts to go after certainly the Department of Education new executive order signed today
day, and Elon Musk continues to go after Social Security, but boy, those Republicans wish he'd shut his piehole for a bit.
Come back with us, 855-752-4842.
Welcome back to the Dom Salvia Show 855-752-4842-855-755.
Civic Earl Ingram joining me today.
You can check his show out 8 to 10 a.m.
Monday through Friday at the...
Monday through Friday at the Civic Media Radio Network 3rd.
Earl, thank you so much for joining me, folks.
You can as well, 855-757.
As we went to the break, we're talking briefly about some of these topics, Social Security, Elon Musk.
We did get some updates on that.
According to the New Republic, the judge kicks Doge out of Social Security and huge blow to Elon Musk.
He's been working to gut the social security administration.
We'll get to that as well.
But we can't leave.
There's one more Brad Schimmel highlight.
We need, we need to, we need to bring for you folks.
I mean, if, if we may media news.com Schimmel called pro pro choice a sham.
It's a shame to be pro-choice, Earl, and questioned others' faith in Christ back in 2018, because, of course, you know, you can't believe in Jesus and want one day of their own choice,
I
guess.
So let's hear a little bit of a shimmel from the old days in
2018.
for this child.
Pro choice is a sham according to the guy who wants to be on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Uh, Earl, I know we just keep clubbing this guy like a baby seal when he's down, but he's, it's so deserve it.
Is that wrong?
I said,
you know, who, who he reminds me of Dominic?
What is, what was the, the, the,
Crogity old guy, uh, that was choking the justice that was trope Republican.
He passed away
recently.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He kind of reminds me of that guy.
You know, he's, he's, he's, if you look at, at, at this guy, man, Brad Schumer,
didn't look like he's got a lot of testosterone on it.
You know what I mean?
David Prosser
is who you're thinking about.
Yeah, David Prosser.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, he doesn't look like he's got a lot of testosterone.
Like you said, always attacking women, you know, kind of like Donald
Trump, right?
Yeah.
This is a theme.
These cats are always and Republicans always attacking women.
I don't understand that, man.
I really don't.
And yet women, some women vote for them.
To your point, former, now deceased, former Republican Supreme Court Justice, David Prosser from 2011, you know, kind of remind you.
He won't face criminal charges over allegations that he choked a liberal colleague prosecutor said.
And that liberal colleague happened to be a woman.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
At the Supreme, at the Supreme, at the Supreme
Court.
Yes.
Choking, choking the justice.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
Saw County, uh, attorney, a district attorney, Patricia Barrett, a special prosecutor of the case, said after reviewing the investigators' reports, he decided there's no basis to file charges against either Justice David Proser or Justice Ann Walsh Bradley.
He accused Proser of choking her.
Bradley, boss Bradley accused processor of choking her in June while she, while the justice were delivering the merits of a lawsuit challenging walkers, a contentious law stripping public workers of their collective bargaining rights.
Now, while Bradley, uh, seeing the courts, uh, she was part one of the liberal justices and processor was a, he's a former Republican legislator.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Put his hands on her neck, perhaps.
I don't remember.
I don't remember exactly what happened.
Uh, so yeah, that, but this is, this is a legacy we're talking about.
So I need, you know, come on for real.
Um, there should be no physical aggressive physical contact between Supreme court justices, right?
To be a really low bar pass.
I mean, maybe a pat on the back, you know, a firm handshake, you know, something like that.
You know, no pass on the ass.
I'm just saying that's not okay.
Um, but you know, if you're ever in, in a conflict where obviously you're like ready to choke someone out, what dude?
What?
So, yeah, that's the legacy.
I mean, and this is, I mean, come on, man, how would Shimmel be?
Would he be like that?
I don't know.
I don't know.
He doesn't have very much respect for the other women on the court, certainly.
Well, that's the point.
Prosper didn't have any respect for the women on the court.
You know, you always wondered, Dominic, you always know if there was a man justice, probably wouldn't have happened, right?
Right, right.
Or, or, and it's not like processor was a robust fit man
that
could have, I mean, Hagedore would wipe the floor with the guy.
Um, let's see here.
Uh, Crawford spokesman, again, this is on, on Schimel making these comments today, or at least the news being reported of him calling him, uh, Karofsky add old and calling proto say which is.
Dumb as
a bag of
hammers.
Here's what the Crawford spokesman said.
Shimmel can't hide or backpedal from these unethical comments, and he should unequivocally apologize to Justice Walsh Bradley, Justice Dallet, Justice Karofsky, Justice Protossewitz, and Justice Hagridorn for his misconduct.
I was thinking,
wait,
Hagridorn?
That mirrors that more
than
half the court.
I mean, what did Hagridorn?
Well, this is what he said about Hagridorn.
He called conservative Justice Brian Hagridorn soft-headed and claimed it on a 2022 radio show that conservatives were concerned about.
What if we get on their Hagridorn and we get burned?
So Hagridorn, to many folks surprised, and well, mine especially, has been kind of middle of the road on some of these things.
And that's great.
I appreciate that.
That's good.
But seemingly, if you
If you look at something and agree sometimes with all those women, all those woke women on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, well, you're softheaded.
You're not a good soldier.
You're not doing enough to help team Trump, because that's what this is all about, man.
And that's the character of Brett Schimmel.
You know, you know, man, state Supreme Court seat.
You know, the state of Wisconsin, man, you know, and
And where it sits clearly that this money that's being invested is being invested because the state's the state of Wisconsin clearly has more juice than many other states across the nation right
now.
Yep.
Yep.
You know, or they wouldn't be spending the kind of money that they're spending.
And you just wonder, Dominic, when you look at the map of the presidential election and you see almost all red.
You know
what I
mean kind of almost all went red if you just if you just see nothing but the map and Holly colored it.
Yeah, but land
doesn't vote
You
know what I
mean?
And some of these counties have like 4,000 or 10,000 people in them.
I mean, that's not, yeah, no, it can be deceiving depending on the map, but you brought it up and folks will get to your calls momentarily, eight, five, five, seven, five, two, four, eight, four, two.
The money, man.
The money in this case, Wisconsin democracy campaign is predicting that this, the amount of money spent on this race will double the last time around, which was a record then, what we're gonna push.
$59
million.
$100 million by the time it's all said and done.
Earl, a hundred million dollars.
But we can't have, you know, you got to cut four million dollars from the food pantry.
You got to you got to do something to, you know, save money.
But, you know, politically speaking here, right and left, lots of folks getting involved, one hundred million dollars.
Earl, we could do so much more with that money.
You know, you know, Dominic, it is outlandish because again, last year, 59 million.
And I think that was 30 million more than
the most expensive race.
And you know, I'm not good at math, you know, but, but Dominic, it's certainly the next race, which is a think a year from now.
What is that
one?
Nothing goes down Earl man.
It's it's it's Trump flation, baby except Tesla stack, but I mean it's it's it's continuing Yeah, according to ABC news 56 million ported in the 2023 election Supreme Court race right 59 million right now and the project projection is to go over a hundred million and the next race the next time around to your point Earl 150 million 200 million.
What are we talking about?
This is insanity
Man it not only is it insanity you have to ask the question They're investing this money and They want something right they're not investing a hundred million dollars You know and just saying hey Justice do whatever it is, you know, it's your thing do what you want to do right?
They want something So put that hundred million so you have to ask the question Dominic
something has happened with the democracy that we keep telling people we have is their democracy when a hundred million dollars can be spent for one one seat on a state Supreme Court level man in Wisconsin.
We're not talking about New York.
We're not talking about California.
We're not talking about Florida.
We're not talking about Texas.
We're talking about Wisconsin man.
Come on man It's unfathomable that this could happen you and I ten years ago.
We could have never envisioned
No
five
years ago now
that this could happen
And here, and here we are.
And the spicket is the spickets open in large part due to the Republican, you know, there's, there's no enforcement of even whatever left of our campaign finance laws these days.
I mean, the way that they've, they've gone around the law while you can only give so much to the candidate, but you can give unlimited amounts to the party and they can funnel it however you want.
Well, great.
Thanks a lot.
I mean, that doesn't, it doesn't really give you any limitations.
Now it doesn't.
And we, and we see that playing out.
right now uh
and and it's the republicans that did this let's not let's not kid ourselves i hear people say well both sides do it hey man both sides weren't doing it one side made it possible for this to happen
right
and the other side is saying hey
If they're doing it, we're going to do it as well.
And you got it.
Yes.
And Ben Wickler from the Democratic political party side, he in the state of Wisconsin, the party chair, he's been great at it.
He's been beating the Republicans at their own game that they
redid, remember?
Cause that all came about after Scott Walker was involved in a John
Doe because he
was coordinated with third party groups.
I mean, this whole thing, I mean, it goes on and we're all back to Scott Walker, man.
I mean, literally like shimmel with Scott Walker's guy, right?
He was his AG, Scott Walker gave him the appointment and the Walker shot, judgeship.
Uh, this is, this is all stems from Scott Walker.
So there you go.
When you think about who you're going to vote for,
Uh, if you have any question, this thing, Scott Walker, you want that guy's hand leftovers, you know, sitting around Wisconsin for another 10 years, 10 years this guy.
No, thanks.
Oh my God.
Eight, five, five, seven, five, two, four, four, two.
Uh, and I would, and I know there's a lot of Dems out there that there are just appalled at the money in politics and, and, and damn, we are too.
And I think there's bipartisan, uh,
Thought
that yeah,
we were agreement on that that we should do something about this and if it's if it comes to you know, what state?
State run elections or state financed your taxpayer financed elections something along those lines or maybe maybe cut it down to a 30 days You know you do something to to change the trajectory because going from you know 50 million to 100 million to God knows what's gonna be next time around Right or that doesn't seem very much like a democracy.
It seems like seems like
lot of money buying politicians.
My last my last thing on the Dominic is it would be different.
Do you see what you're getting for the hundred million?
Have you watched the commercials?
Come on man.
Apparently everyone sucks at putting
sex offenders away.
Come on man.
You spent a hundred million dollars on that.
Come on man.
Yeah.
Oh, don't worry.
They're on the radio too early.
You hear them all the time.
And as mentioned, you hear the blurbs, you know, we're FCC.
We got to play the ads and just, so, you know, use your own, use your own critical thinking to determine what is truth and what is not true.
But to your point, Earl, yeah, I mean, we are getting to lose it.
They're terrible.
It's hard to watch anything to come on.
I try to either change the channel or mute it because I
just,
I can't even stand it.
I mean, how could
two justices, two wannabe justices, be so terrible at locking up sexual offenders.
I mean, is there anybody else?
If you
listen
to
the
commercials, everybody sucks.
Come back
with us.
We don't suck.
We're gonna take your
calls, 855-752-4842-855-757.
You don't need a hundred million to get on this show.
Just give us a little bit of love.
We'll be right back.
And welcome back to the Dom Salvia show eight five five seven five two four eight four two eight five five seven five Civic gonna get to the phone lines momentarily joined it today Earl Ingraham from the Earl Ingraham show to talk about eight to ten a.m.
Monday through Friday Gonna hang out with me till six o'clock just PS working hard on the board gonna take some of your calls right now Let's get to him Annie from Watertown you will be first every Thursday
We've confirmed it's Thursday.
It's a blurs day.
Hey, any welcome what do you got for us?
What's been most appalling is Schimel accusing Crawford of being political.
Schimel got his attorney general position after doing the big favor in the caucus scandal by Scott Jensen.
Scott Jensen moved his
case to Waukesha County where Shimo was and Shimo gave him the opportunity to continue to work in government.
That's absolutely correct any if if and Chuck Kuala he did some time he got the felony But Jensen got his gotta got it moved to Waukesha Jensen got it to be a misdemeanor and Jensen is a highly paid lobbyist to my understanding And you couldn't be a highly paid lobbyist if you have a felony like he needed that done Annie and Shimo got it done for him apparently
Yep
Thank you for reminding us there's so much there's so you know after a while or you and I've been around a little while man and you a little longer than me We can kind of go back and remember some of these things and thank you Annie for Reminding us of that eight five five seven five two four eight four two Cindy from Appleton your next welcome Cindy.
What do you got for us?
Well these Republicans who bash women do it because you know, it's a physical I mean a mental abuse and I think that's kind of what they're all about
And they never apologize because if they apologize and don't accuse women of all these terrible things, that hurts their manly hood.
Toxic masculinity.
I mean, so what?
So the men are never wrong.
Cindy, is that the lesson learned?
I guess so.
It's terrible.
Thank you for the call.
And of course, it's not just the, the, the misogyny.
It's the, it's
the way that he carries himself.
And I don't know, Erlen, we kind of pounded on this.
I'm going to continue to say it.
When a guy like Brad Shimmel or even Scott Walker or Havdie comes in and complains about, you know, the way that Milwaukee has to count their absentee bills based on the laws of Wisconsin that could have been changed by Republicans, they either are absolutely ignorant, literally do not know.
how it works so they don't know they're dumb as a sack of hammers they have no idea or which makes if you don't know that that's how it happens in Milwaukee if you don't know that's the history if you don't can't pick up a newspaper if your google's not broke you can find out how it's done um that's disqualifying
Right, you're either you're ignorant willfully or otherwise or or or he is purposefully lying to everybody Which I believe is also disqualifying either way this guy should be nowhere near the Wisconsin Supreme Court
You know the last the third option is what's happening Because they're leading people to believe this across the state
And so that gives them even more leverage because people who don't know anything about Milwaukee or any of those things, and they keep hearing this constantly from conservative child radio and others like Chimmel and others, then that's what they believe.
And so, you know, what they fell understand is the majority of the people in the state are in Milwaukee.
So you're not going to be able to count it as quickly as you will.
Let's say a real little town.
What's a little small town?
Oh, like like Appleton
Okay, okay, so it's gonna take a little longer, right?
Yeah
Yeah, come on.
It's just common
sense But it but of course it's common sense and we know the rules yet and we can we've had this conversation year after year after year after year man Constantly every time these Republicans lose Milwaukee.
Oh all these votes came out but they they don't change the laws because they want this argument Earl is
Do you think?
Because I do.
When I say Milwaukee, what they really mean is those black people voting down in Milwaukee County.
That's the way I
take it.
What do you think?
The dickens you say.
Come on, man.
Oh, wow.
Come
on, man.
I haven't heard that one in 150 years.
That's
my point, man.
You know that's the reason.
Oh, come
on.
Listen, man, when people of color, black people only make up 5% of the population.
We're the boogeyman.
We didn't just get to be the boogeyman in the state.
It's always been that way throughout my life.
It'll be that way long after I'm gone when you only make up 5% of the population.
Yeah.
And that's what they've been able to.
This is not.
The first time this is not the first rodeo with this Dominic.
It's been going on forever and people across the state.
Unfortunately, many people want to believe that, right?
Yeah, they don't know any better.
They don't know they haven't been in Milwaukee.
They don't know the people of Milwaukee.
So it's easy to believe that if you keep hearing the same thing over and over and over, you got to believe why would somebody lie?
What?
The Dickens, you say?
Hey folks, you're listening to the Dom Salvis show.
Love hanging out with our friend Earl Ingram.
He does a fine program right here in the Civic Media radio network, 8 to 10 a.m.
But we'll get a little extra time with Earl today.
Come back with us.
Callers, be patient.
We will get to you.
We'll continue the conversation briefly on the other side.
But we also got to get to some of the national news, the efforts of the Trump administration, Dom Trump today, signing an executive
of order to get rid of a congressional created department.
That's interesting.
See how that's going to work out.
Plus, the leadership in the Democratic Party, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, AOC, JB Pritzker, Tim Walls, Gavin Newsom, who, who are we looking to look to us?
Come back with us.
Your opinions on what the Dems should be doing, what their priorities should be, eight, five, five, seven, five, two, four, four, two.
Broadcasting across the state of Wisconsin on the Civic Media Radio Network and around the world on the Civic Media app.
This is the Dom Salvia Show.
And now, here's your host, Dom Salvia.
And welcome to the Dom Salvia show.
Thank you so much for tuning in.
Thank you for listening.
You can also be a big part.
Love it when you join us 8 5 5 7 5 2 4 8 4 2 8 5 5 7 5 Civic got just be us working hard on the board and our pal Earl Ingram from the Earl Ingram show can hear his fine program Monday through Friday 8 to 10 a.m.
We're in the civic media radio network Earl Thank you for sticking around and don't forget folks the last segment of the day tell us something good gotta end the show
with a smile on our face.
Aw, Jess.
You got it.
You got it.
You got it.
We talk about some heavy things.
Sometimes we like to end it with a little cherry on top.
So tell us something good in the last hour, in the last segment, my bad, in the last segment.
In the last hour, we were discussing primarily the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, Susan Crawford going up against the...
guy who's dumb as a sack of hammers, Brad Schimmel, and some of our audience wanted to continue that conversation.
And we will shortly here, we'll take your calls and your texts as well.
And then we have to get to some of the news of the day.
Of course, there's an executive order being signed by President Trump with an attempt to eliminate the Department of Education.
We're going to go there as well.
Plus, the Dem Party, the resistance, the leadership, where are we at?
Who's doing what?
I did see
on the Kyron here, MSNBC, Bernie Sanders and AOC launched a fight in the oligarchy tour.
Well, they're out doing something.
Should more be done.
And by whom I get your thoughts on that as well, eight, five, five, seven, five, two, four, eight, four, two.
But let's wrap up the conversation on just judge Susan Crawford versus Brad Shimmel.
Chris from SunPur, you are patient.
Thank you so much.
Let us know what your thoughts are, Chris.
Welcome.
Hi, Dom.
Hi, Earl.
Well, something good.
I was coming home from the labor temple where I was doing phone calls for Susan Crawford
to get
out the vote.
And what I wanted to say was when I tuned in on the radio, I heard a lot of the other guys' names.
And I really want to encourage people to use the name Susan Crawford as often as they can because the name Susan Crawford is not getting out there enough.
We need people to know that name when they go into the voting booth.
We need them to remember Susan Crawford, not the other guy.
And we need to remember that Susan Crawford will look at the legislature's legislation and make sure that it meets constitutional muster.
We're not looking at somebody who's a rubber stamp for the Republican Party.
And I think that that's the huge difference between her and the other guy.
And I really, really wish people would stop talking about the other guy because I see the other guy's name all over everything.
And I think we have to stop promoting him.
And I think we need to
say Chris.
Now, when Susan Crawford starts saying dumbass things all the time, I'll play much more of Susan Crawford.
But the fact that I'm saying Brad Schimel's name is not an endorsement or an acknowledgement of his superior intellect.
The guys are moron.
And he can't keep his mouth shut.
He says terrible things.
And I want to remind people over and over again that that's who that guy is.
So while I get what you're saying, and I'd love to play some more Susan Crawford.
And as soon as I get some of that sound of her, you know, calling Republicans on the Wisconsin Supreme Court names, or as soon as I hear her about, you know, spending thousands and thousands of dollars of money on stupid coins called kicking ass every day, you know, those kinds of things.
When I get clips of her,
talking about buying knee pads begging for money from people, I'd be happy to do that.
But right now, I'm playing those clips because I'm being very critical of that guy.
Well, maybe that's what you're doing, but I'm talking about campaigns.
If somebody's campaigning something or if they're wanting to sell something, what you need is name recognition.
Name recognition is what's going to get Susan Crawford elected.
And I don't think I'm seeing enough name recognition from the campaigns.
The campaigns put the other guys' name out as much as they put out Susan Crawford's name.
Every time you put out a piece of campaign literature with your competition's name on it, you're negating the dollars that you're spending on your
own.
Yeah, but Chris, we got the Musk Front organizations putting all sorts of Susan Crawford out.
So does that count?
Well, I'm talking about the people that are trying to support Susan Crawford should not be putting out the name of the other guy.
I think that it's a very stupid way to spend your dollars.
I think that to spend your dollars for your candidate, you should put your candidate's name out.
We had this, we had Dr., we had Professor Lakeoff come at one of our grassroots festivals and he told us that what we did in the Walker campaign was we raised Scott Walker to the national level.
We made this guy a national level celebrity by putting his name on it for everything.
And I'm just questioning the people of Wisconsin about how they're utilizing the names of other candidates and they're raising them.
And I really don't care about the dollars that are spent on anybody's shows.
I'm sorry, Dom.
I know that you have to think about that.
I don't think about it, Chris.
It's not something I think about.
Thank you.
I get your point.
I do.
And certainly those that are supportive should be promoting their candidate and perhaps more promotion of their candidate and less tearing down of the opponent.
Yeah, I mean, I get that point.
From the dollars being spent, no, that is not something that crosses Dominic's mind whatsoever.
I know that used to be a thing for some folks, not me.
I'll let the folks who are in charge of that worry about that and I'll worry about me and how I'm going to present these different candidates.
And again, I'm obviously being very critical of Shimmel.
I hear what you're saying, and there's only going to be two of them on the ballot, man.
And I would also suggest that people are really not knowing who they're going to vote for.
And they hear constant bad things about Brad Schimmel, because it's true.
You know what I mean?
They'll be like, oh, I'm not voting for that guy.
I'm voting for the other person.
So thank you for the call, Chris.
Always appreciate it.
I know you are a true believer, and you actually get out there and do the work.
And we certainly appreciate you doing so and providing your opinion today.
Earl, what are your thoughts, ma'am?
Well, man, you know, I, you know, I agree with you.
I mean, you know, if, if, if, if I have to be concerned when I, when I'm doing the show and, and I'm, and I'm talking about, you know, who, who Brad Shimmel is, I don't think the fact that I'm mentioning his name.
I'm gonna influence somebody who's looking to vote for the other person.
Clearly, hey man, people know who Brad Shimmel is.
All you have to do is watch the part of the $100 million of commercials that you get to see, you know what I mean?
Every, just nonstop, sometimes repeatedly.
People know the names, right?
And if they don't know the names,
that they were hopefully, uh, misinformed.
And by now, Dominic, we're talking a couple of weeks before, you know, I don't, I don't think, and I understand.
I know Chris, I know her well, her and her husband work really hard.
They really are people who labor and believe in it.
And, and man, they're great fighters.
So.
I'm not going to say anything negative about it.
Absolutely not.
I always appreciate Chris's opinion.
It's usually very informed, more informed than mine.
So, hell, I've
learned a
lot from Chris and Jerry over the years.
So,
certainly more than
mentality.
What's that?
Love that mentality.
Yeah,
of course.
Thank you, Jess.
Thank you, folks.
855-752-4842.
Let's keep going on the lines.
Ollie from the Northwoods, you will be next.
Welcome to the show.
Ollie, what do you think?
I just wanted to say that on the news, when they played the news, there was a voice of Donald Trump saying how he was signing the papers to disassemble the Department of Education.
And he was thereby sending that responsibility back to the state.
He wants to send the responsibility back to the states and the whole time who's here Elon Musk trying to buy the favor of the states.
It's a lose-lose situation.
Either way, you go,
isn't it?
I'm glad my kids are through the school system right now.
And sending it to the states.
And I guess we should get to that topic, Earl.
the, this executive order by Donald Trump to dismantle or somehow take, you know, do away with the department of education.
AP has a little bit of story on, a little bit on this.
The White House said that the education secretary, Linda McMahon, it's hard to take her seriously.
I mean, we'll be directed to facilitate the department's closure while quote, continuing to ensure the effective and uninterrupted delivery of services, programs and benefits on which Americans rely.
Well, it's easy to write that down, Earl.
But if he acts half of your department, you gotta assume there's gonna be some interruption of delivery of services programs and benefit.
You can't tell me half of the people were doing nothing and there will be no impact.
Well, you know, Dominic, it's really what's behind all of this.
And it doesn't take, you don't have to think too hard.
to understand the whole purpose for it is to dismantle public education and to again give an upper hand to private education and you know it really is heartbreaking because I've always said and I'll say once I said a thousand times I'm supporting where the majority of the children are Dominic they're in public education I'm not opposed to private education and those kinds of things
but it would be foolish to dismantle public education where the majority of the American children are and who are going to grow up to be adults and run the nation.
Why would you, why would you destroy that man?
Tell me, tell me how that makes some sense, Dominic.
Oh, so they couldn't take that money and stick it into the private.
the private education sector.
Here's the thing, man, I went to a private high school, a public grade school up through eighth grade, went to a private high school.
I also have no problem with private high school education, but you pay for it.
You want it?
Pay for it.
Like my parents paid for it.
They made the sacrifices to do that.
They made that determination.
Now these public schools, in doing so, if you take away money and put it away from public into private,
Is there a downside?
Is it like firing half the staff at a department thinking you're going to get the same services?
Of course there's an impact to that.
Of course there is.
And I don't want, I don't want, you know, my tax scholars going to, let's call it indoctrination of young children to religious ideologies like saying, I don't know, the earth is 6,000 years old.
I think you do a disservice
to the children when you bring that kind of nonsense into the classroom.
So no, I got a big problem with that, man.
We've got two, we have the program here in the state of Wisconsin, man, unfunded mandate.
How many hundreds of millions of dollars are being spent?
So yeah, I get, and if that's how it's going to be, then how important, if all this comes to this date, how important is this next election of Dr. Jill Underly for Wisconsin's DPI?
You know what I'm saying?
How important is it to have Governor Evers as our governor or a Democratic governor going forward?
If all of a sudden the states are going to direct all this money, oh my God.
You imagine if we had Scott Walker back as governor, where would he direct that money to?
We got a guy like Speaker Mike Johnson who religiously believes apparently the earth is 6,000 years old.
Good luck.
Welcome to the indoctrination.
Welcome to the churn.
Come back with us.
855-752-4842.
More your calls.
Welcome back to the Dom Salvia Show 855-7-5.
Pardon me.
855-752-484-2855-757.
I got just PS on the board.
Earl Ingram from the Earl Ingram show joining me today till 6 o'clock.
You can check his show out 8 to 10 a.m.
Monday through Friday.
Department of Education.
I guess they're getting rid of
it.
We
don't need no stinking Department of Education Never did you know good did it?
Especially in books.
They was
the books was
the worst The AP real quickly.
What is the what does the Department of Education do?
Would you what would you say you do here?
Here's what the AP a couple of brief highlights from the AP so apparently the Department of Education
Manages approximately $1.5 trillion in student loan debt for over 40 million.
Bower, Bower, Borrowers, easy for me to say, it also oversees the Pell Grant, which provides aids to student below a certain income threshold.
Oh, I can see why they want to get rid of that.
What else does the Department of Education do?
Oh, here's another thing that other civil rights really don't like, civil rights enforcement.
Through its
Office for Civil
Rights, the Education Department conducts investigations in issues guidance on how civil rights law should be applied, such as for LGBTQ plus students and students of color.
The office also oversees a large data collection project that tracks disparities in resources
Of course, access and discipline for students of different racial and socioeconomic groups.
Oh, can't have that.
If you find out that the
black kids are getting
punished more harshly than the white kids, or the disabled kids are getting punished more harshly than the white kids, well, that'd be bad for us.
So let's get rid of that, right?
What's the problem there?
You got a problem tracking those things?
Come on, people, college accredited.
Education while the education department does not directly accredit colleges and universities that oversees the system by reviewing all federally recognized accrediting agencies Institutions of higher education must be accredited to gain access to the federal money for student financial aid.
Oh, what was that?
What was that one university?
That was the total scam and they got they got fined.
Oh, yeah, Trump University Yeah, that one I remembered that the guy that's in the White House right now
Thank you, MEGA.
Money for Schools.
A bunch of the Education Department's Money for K through 12 schools goes through large federal programs such as Title I for Low Income Schools and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Those programs support services for students with disabilities, lower class sizes with additional teaching positions, and pay for social work and other non-teaching roles in school.
Now, Trump has called for shifting those programs to the state project 2025.
So they should put it to HHS.
Anyway, there's some of the item, some of the responsibilities of the Department of Education, obviously lots of money there.
What is the point?
Why are we doing this?
Oh, yeah, tax breaks for the wealthy, but let's take some more calls 855.
Yes, go
ahead.
Before I lose this
though.
So at the same time, I think it's in Oklahoma or a couple, couple of states like that where
They're mandating that the ten commandments and the Bible be taught in schools.
You remember
that?
I do.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yes.
Come on, man.
Come on.
And so and so now you're doing away.
And so now the freedom to move those dollars into into, you know, schools that that clearly have a bent on Christian education.
Mm hmm.
in a nation that swears to not be that.
And
which Christian
education, man, the Lutherans are different from the Catholics that
are different from the
Protestants.
I mean, are you sure?
Was Mary a virgin?
You know, are we going to have this conversation?
I want to know.
Can you put it on the board?
Was Mary a virgin or not?
Or was she just a woman that really stuck to her story?
I
said it eight
five five
seven five two four eight four two because it's not it's not about that's not education man that's not education that's
an indoctrination
yes you want if you're gonna do that then you got to do everything I want to know about yes I want to know about Odin's Raven ma'am I want to know what all about the Hindu gods
there were
two Ravens what see this is breaking blow my mind
This blast for me When do we when do we when do we stop this so this is a terrible idea, but yes to your point Earl Yeah, those folks are gonna be what they're gonna get they're gonna get dollars on the states can do whatever they want if that's
the
case there is no consistent
Education, you know, kind of forming shouldn't we have that?
I mean, I think we should I think those children that are gonna be indoctrinated and bent into some of those lines of things that does them a disservice because when you get older and all of a sudden you realize that maybe maybe maybe you question some of that faith that was what that was poured into you again, you know as part of the culture you get that You know, how does that max?
How does a 6,000 year old earth match with the science?
You know the scientific
process
that brought us everything that we have the computers and the technology
everything, man.
Go ahead,
man.
You use a verbiage.
You use some verbiage.
Faith.
You didn't say facts.
Wait, don't get me started.
Okay.
So what your faith is, is your faith.
Right on.
And you have a right to that.
You don't have a right to force it on me.
I mean, I don't care who I...
Disappoint in that frame of reference, but it's just factual, man.
Your faith and your beliefs are yours, and that's where it lies.
Just don't force them on me.
If you're going to force them on children, you do a disservice.
to what this nation supposedly stands for.
And if you want
to force it on your kids, do it on your own dime.
That's my thing.
You want to have
private religious education,
pay for it.
Like my parents did.
855-752.
And like I did to my son, right?
855-752-4842.
Ron from Kenosha, you are next.
Welcome, Ron.
Thank you for calling.
What do you got for us?
Hey, Dom.
You know, one of the things I keep thinking about is every time I hear you talk about this,
the ability of parents to take their public school funds and send them to private
schools.
I think the amount of money any parent should be able to divert to a private school should be limited to no more than the amount that that parent pays in taxes.
If you have one kid, you get to send the whole amount.
You got two kids, you split it between them.
But my tax dollars should not be able to be diverted to go fund
education in these goofball private schools.
Ron, thank you so much.
I absolutely agree.
I'd like to stop paying my tax dollars to the, the war machine and put it more towards cannabis research.
That's do it.
Can I, can I take that money and direct it myself,
please?
That'd be nice.
We can't do that in other places.
Why are we doing it there?
Come back with us.
Eight, five, five, seven, five, two, four, eight, four, two, more of your calls.
Plus we're the Dems at yo, come back with us.
Welcome back to the Dom Salvia show eight five five seven five two four eight four two eight five five seven five civic just PS working hard on the board joined it today by co-host Earl Ingram from the Earl Ingram show.
Check him out Monday through Friday right here on the civic media radio network eight to 10 a.m.
Love it when we get to hang out with Earl Taylor.
I'm really good to see you, man.
It's a hard time to get together on the weekend.
So appreciate our time together here, Earl.
We're talking about the
Department
of Education.
Donald Trump.
Signed an executive order to dismantle a congressional created cabinet I don't I don't quite understand how this whole thing works But apparently you know if you're if you're Donald Trump and you have executive orders you could do anything you want 8 5 5 7 5 2 4 8 4 2 let's get some collars They have been very patient Paul from the interstate be safe out there Paul you are next welcome.
What do you got for us?
Hello, I was
have one question seen that the Department of Education has been dismantled.
Does that include loan payments
back?
Yeah, I liked it where you're thinking, Paul.
I mean, I really would love to pay the bill, but I don't know where to say I don't know where to send it to.
Paul, I highly doubt that would be the case, although I would love it to be the case, especially given the way that this administration has so haphazardly gone after everything.
And then the losing in court cases left and right, because of course, these executive orders don't carry the weight that Donald Trump wants them to.
you know, separation of powers and all that Congress is in charge and the Donald Trump doesn't get to impound the money.
I know they think they can and maybe they'll make that one, that case go to the Supreme Court, but
if, if, if, if Congress allocates the funds and then the executive branch can just put them in their pocket and not spend the funds as, as, as directed by Congress, then Congress really doesn't have the power of the purse.
So, uh, Paul, I wouldn't doubt it given, given how these guys are like, Oh, we're going to get rid of that department.
All of a sudden it goes offline and all of a sudden your auto deducts out of your checking account to pay for your loans.
They're, they just don't work anymore.
I wouldn't be surprised, but I wouldn't bank on it, Paul.
Thanks for playing, man.
8-5-5-7-5-2-4-8-4-2-8-5-5-7-5.
Civic Whisco Paul, you will be next.
Welcome, Paulie.
What do you got for us?
Hey, good afternoon, gentlemen.
Our government's being dismantled for goodness' sakes, and the Republicans say nothing.
I mean, not...
Well,
I think a lot of these folks, they're down for it, Paulie.
That's why, man, they're down.
They don't want, come on, you're worried about minorities and disabled kids and, you know, everyone getting equal access to education, education, man.
Let the states decide it.
And you just happen to be one of those minority groups while you're on your own.
And the last thing the Republicans want are a bunch of woke as kids, you know, challenging their authority.
Well, these programs were put together for a reason to make this country better.
And if you dismantle all this like they're hell-bent on doing, if you ever do get a different administration, how are you going to put this all back together again?
Because we're two years away from elections,
or at
least two years away.
Hey, to me, this election coming up April 1st.
for the Supreme Court justices.
That's a big deal.
We'll see what way that goes.
But this is a mess now.
I don't, I don't know, Earl, how are you going to put this back together?
Thank you guys.
Thank you, Paul.
It's like Humpty Dumpty, Earl.
I mean, what happens if this continues on?
Do you think it would be, I mean, you can't, if a Democratic president administration comes on or hell, even if, even if Trump loses the Congress,
You know, he's not going to sign anything, right?
So you're not going to get any new laws passed and signed by Trump unless he continues to lose these court cases, which I imagine he will, and I can't imagine that the Supreme Court's going to say, yes, Donald Trump can unilaterally dismantle these departments that Congress created.
You know, Dominic, he's already dismantled many of them.
And even though he's forced to put some things back,
they aren't what they ever were before he got ahold to them.
So he's put his footprint on these things already and I don't know, I don't know how, even though the justices are voting against him in the long run, he's still done some major damage.
And it's only been two months, man.
Hey man, that's the amazing thing to me, Dominic.
It's only been two months.
And the other part of this is, he's assembled his team.
While we're talking about this stuff, his team is busy, man, doing some real damage.
Well, they're busy getting their
ass handed to them in
court.
There is damage being done.
There are changes.
And he does have authority as president.
He can't deny the executive branch.
He has authority with those executive orders to impact some federal employees with that.
No doubt about it.
But there are limitations to it.
And just because you write it down,
and you send it out and you sign it with your big fat Sharpie, doesn't make it true.
It doesn't, man.
You are not a king.
These are not edicts that people must handle or off with their head.
That's not how it works.
I know that's how he wants it to work.
And I know a lot of you Republicans wish it would be that way.
And I would warn you that, yeah, you wish it would be that way because you don't think you're the one who could be losing your head.
But invariably, it comes to that, man.
Sooner or later, you cross the king unless you're the jester.
like me, you're going to lose 8-5-5-7-5-2-4-8-4-2.
How big is the Department of Justice according to time.com?
4,200 employees last September, according to the Office of Personnel Management.
This accounts for 0.2% of overall federal employment last year, the smallest staff of the 15 cabinet agencies.
The smallest staff, the Justice Department.
The
smallest staff of
the 15 cabinet agencies Eight
not Department of
Education.
I said justice.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Let me restate that.
Yeah, the Department of Education
has 4,200 Employees as of last September counted for point two percent of overall federal employment last year and these it's the smallest staff of the 15 cabinet agencies Thank you for the correction.
Are you but you also know Dominic again?
You knew something was up when, what is her name, McMahon, the person that he appointed to do this job.
And his response, and what he said about her was, she's a great business woman.
Okay, okay, man.
If that's what, is that what we're looking for in all of this, Dominic?
Just great business people.
I mean, no, I'm not me horrible business.
There's some horrible business people.
Donald Trump being one himself.
But but for all those people who have been led to believe that business people would be the best thing, you know, for our government, you see it, man.
People have been clamoring for it for a long time, Dominic.
Many people on the right have been saying the same thing over and over again.
We need to run the government like a business.
No, we don't.
We need to run the government like a business.
So we need to make some profit.
You know, we need
to
screw the, screw the customers.
We're going to stick it to our suppliers.
Squeeze the bottom.
Squeeze the bottom line.
We need to do some stock buybacks.
And, you know, and if we can manipulate the market a little bit for a little extra money.
Hey, what are
they doing that today?
He got a wonder.
855-752-484-2855.
75 Civic Brian from Milwaukee.
You will be next.
Welcome, Brian.
What do you got for us?
Hey, you know, I'm just wondering what the cuts to the Department of Education.
I was thinking when I wanted to go to college, my parents said, you want to go to college?
That's great.
But you have to pay your way.
Will the cuts affect like fast and, you know, student loans and stuff like that?
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
I mean, someone, I mean, thank you for the call, Brian.
They're
I think there's like $1.6 trillion of the loans and 40 million.
There's someone's going to have to administer that, right?
So of the people that are still there, perhaps that will still be there.
And you're probably going to still have to make your your loan payments.
And again, this is, you know, I guess a reorganization, not necessarily a cut.
Because again, this money's already been allocated by Congress and the last continuing resolution.
I know Donald Trump doesn't give a damn about Congress's powers.
But, you know, there still is money.
that has to be allotted for and accounted for.
So now, whether that ultimately gets distributed through other agencies, you know, those are kind of workarounds you can do.
So that dollar amount shouldn't, in my opinion, necessarily change.
But certainly the services and the process could totally do that.
Thanks for calling.
Brian, appreciate it.
855-752-4842.
Steve from Milwaukee.
You are next.
Welcome, Steve.
What are your thoughts today?
Hey, I was just
Told that I have to do I have to say something nice I did I did have my last night for leftovers with a Ruben sandwich gotta have that So good so good.
Do you
have any cabbage too?
I mean, how do you do that?
Yeah
Yeah, you get me hungry man
All right.
Oh, yeah.
Man, you got any leftovers?
Might want to bring them down the studio.
I'll get you a beer.
This guy
has no shame.
All right.
You can own me, Steve.
Well, appreciate your sharing.
Man, what do you got for us?
Oh, I was just calling to say that it's pretty obvious Trump is a Russian asset.
I mean, this first move was ending USAID and then removing our country from the WHO and, you know, the CDC and all these other agencies, but it's just, it's really, it's really sad.
And it's amazing that there's so many people out there who are cheering the sun.
Yeah, Steve, it is, it is sad.
And not only certainly the, the acts of those things and what is, you know, what's the motivation, right?
Is he a Russian asset?
Well, we've got lots of folks that think that, you know what I mean?
We've had those conversations with friends of ours, Matt Flynn specifically.
He's not shy.
Um, but whether or not he is, or is there, what his motivations are, certainly these actions that this administration are taking are, are more positive for the, the, the Putin.
Regime that it is for NATO for Europe for for us for that matter the USAID the soft power where we're We're just not gonna do that anymore.
So well that gap will get filled by what the Chinese and the Russians eventually I mean that that's not great, but appreciate it Steve Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Trump administration.
Let's put it that way eight five five seven five two four eight four two cam from Appleton you are next welcome.
What do you got for us?
Hey, so with all these I guess
programs and departments and shambles.
I'm being left with the thought that I'm going to make bank, right?
Because all these taxes coming back to me, I'm going to be loaded.
So what I'm doing is filling out these applications.
Oh, hear me out.
I had this buddy of mine named Chris, who had a daughter named Jackie.
um they ended up dying in this horrific accident where they just they they they had something to do with a car and a compactor it was terrible and um what i'm looking to do is get these uh their favorite place to dine was a joint called the peppermint hippo and i'm looking to get their uh these urinal cakes or ashtrays or chairs with uh these engravings on them that say cj this is in a bowl in an old meal
Come on, man.
Keep me hanging that
long for that man.
Time is money, man.
Thanks for playing eight by five, seven, five, two, four, four, two.
Don from Milwaukee.
You're next.
Welcome when you got for us.
Good afternoon, gentlemen.
Yeah.
I want your expert opinion.
I got my absentee ballot the other day, and I was sailing along pretty good till I got this dog on yes or no question a referendum, and I'd like to have a little opinion of yours of which way I should go on it.
It's about whether that photo ID should be put into the Constitution.
Gotcha.
Don, I would say no, no.
Come on, man.
We don't need that in constitution.
Anytime Republicans are offering any amendments regarding amending the constitution about anything, the answer should be no.
Thanks for calling on it.
Empathically.
855-752-4842.
One final segment with me, Earl Ingram, just PS on the board, but.
Talk about what you want to talk about but you got to start out by telling us something good and the day with a smile on our face Join us 855-752-4842
Welcome back to the Dom salvia show.
Join the love train eight five five seven five two four eight four two eight five five seven five civic hour last segment of the day.
If you got something to say hit us up with something good and we'll talk about whatever topics you want to discuss Earl Ingram Jr.
just a PS and you folks on the line.
I'm gonna do it.
I'm gonna do it.
CJ man.
Hey thanks for calling CJ.
I know you got lots
to
say but but
You got to start out by telling us something good.
And then we'll talk about your topic.
It's 75 degrees in Naples, Florida.
Oh
man.
That is good.
All right.
I'm a little jealous.
I was there a few weeks ago and it was beautiful as well.
So all right, man, playing along.
What do you got for us, man?
Hey, thanks for taking my call, Diamond Earl and Earl.
Good to talk to you.
Every once in a while, you take my call.
But I, you know, this is a great thing.
Uh, the department of education is failing our kids.
Read our test scores.
Um, read our test scores for fourth graders and eighth graders.
And, and who at the department of it, if I may, then, uh, CJ, the department of education, they administer lots of like student loans, right?
You okay with that?
Well, yeah, but I want him to pay him back.
Unlike the former president who three times went constitutionally to the Supreme Court.
So how about executive orders to eliminate a department created by Congress?
Do you believe that's constitutional?
when we're failing them the way you
know whether or not we're failing them or victorious or however you define it it's not about the failure or lack of failure or success CJ it's about whether or not a an executive order signed by your president can eliminate a department created by Congress you're so concerned about Joe Biden's unconstitutional student loan forgiveness
What do you say about your president's unconstitutional executive orders to eliminate the Department of Education?
Just the way Joe Biden went to the Supreme Court and fought for votes and cheating and Not allowing
what I mean other
taxpayers to pay for the student loans this president's gonna go to the Supreme Court and get a judgment on that
And we're failing.
Okay.
So I want to be clear.
So you, you think I want to be clear.
You think then, I guess we'll move on.
You believe that the executive orders from Donald Trump to eliminate congressional departments is constitutional.
Thank you for that.
Have a great night, CJ.
855-752-4842.
Joy from Green Bay.
You are up.
Tell us something good, Joy.
Welcome.
What do you got?
Well, he took the weather thing, which is pretty cool, but it's still really nice out.
It's not snowing.
Although I like the snow.
So anyway, um, me, I, I disagree.
Well, I don't think it's out there enough.
I talked to a few people who don't really understand that voting thing.
A woman or a gentleman was on asking about it.
They don't understand that it's law ready.
Um, that you can't, you have to have an ID to vote.
You have to.
That's just how it is.
But.
this putting it into the Constitution, man alive, I'm a female.
And I get married.
I don't have the same last name on my birthday.
So that's what they're pushing for.
They've been talking about it all the time.
It's under the whatever.
But it's out there.
And people need to hear more about this constitutional thing.
I mean, no, but no, that is, this is wrong.
And CJ can go kick rocks.
Thank you, Joey.
Appreciate it.
I concur.
Vote no.
Vote no.
I mean, come on.
It's already a law, and the technology is going to continue to change.
I mean, at some point, we're going to have to give a DNA sample to vote.
I mean, is that
where we're going?
I'm just saying.
I mean, that is the path.
And I
scan?
I mean, how?
Because it will.
Ultimately it will change.
I mean back in the day it was you know X marks the spot Now you got to have a picture and in a hundred years from now It's gonna be something different eight five five seven five two four eight four two We don't mess around with the Constitution lightly the original Claire OC.
What's up girl?
Welcome.

Hey Tom, I got another silly joke for you

So stick around.
