Wausau Newman Catholic boys basketball team traveled to Phillips Friday night, and came away with a 66-56 Marawood Conference victory, which was Newman’s first conference victory of the season.
In a close battle the entire contest, Newman led 38-34 at halftime.
The Loggers were led by Lane Abrahams, who scored 13 points.
Newman’s Quincy Pfender and Liam McCarthy had 27 points each.
