RIPON, Wis- The Second City, Chicago’s legendary sketch comedy and improvisation theatre, will bring its critically acclaimed national touring company to the historic Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake. There will be two exclusive performances on Saturday, July 18. The shows are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

As the launching pad for some of the biggest names in international entertainment, The Second City continues to set the gold standard in comedic performance.

Due to the raw, quick-witted nature of the material, this performance is intended for mature audiences.

The Second City opened its doors in 1959 and quickly grew into a cultural phenomenon. The institution is universally recognized for developing an extraordinary roster of alumni, including comedy icons such as Bill Murray, John Belushi, Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Keegan-Michael Key, and Chris Farley.

Audiences can expect an interactive experience where local culture and current events are seamlessly woven into the performance, ensuring that no two shows are ever identical.

Tickets for both performances are $35 and are expected to sell rapidly due to the venue’s limited capacity. Patrons can purchase tickets online at www.thrasheroperahouse.com or by contacting the venue box office directly.
