House Fire in Oshkosh

WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- No one was injured during a house fire at 533 Washington Avenue in Oshkosh Monday morning. Damage to the home was estimated at $150,000.

According to Fire Marshal Jack Clark firefighters responded to the two-story wood-frame home at approximately 8:49 am. When they arrived heavy smoke and flames were visible from first and second story windows.

The residence was searched to make sure the home’s occupants had gotten out. Fire crews brought the fire under control and prevented it from extending further into the home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
