Fatal Car Crash in Waupaca County

WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- Waupaca County Sheriff’s officials say an 81-year-old man died after his car crashed on County Highway QQ near Park Lane Sunday night.

Witnesses to the crash started life-saving measures at the scene and law enforcement and EMS continued them when they arrived. The man was taken to Theda-Care Waupaca where he died.

The preliminary investigation determined the man was heading north on County Highway QQ and stopped at the intersection at King Road. He continued north when he veered off the road.  His vehicle went through a residential yard and hit a parked vehicle in a business lot.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the State Patrol, Gold Cross ambulance, the Waupaca Fire Department and Waupaca Police Department.
