Behind the WRJN Curtain

Racine’s Radio Park has recently regained new life! With the return of music, there’s also a whole slew of new folks working to keep WRJN your home for local news and timeless hits.

We decided to spotlight some of the people working behind the scenes on Victory Avenue, and we’re starting with the guy on the 1’s and 0’s! Dakota is a Racine native and he’s the person working the web.

Here’s a ‘Q and A’ in an attempt to get to know Dakota a little better.

1. What’s your hometown? – I am from Racine. I went to Walden and Case for High school.
2. Are you a coffee drinker, if not, what’s your preferred beverage? – I’m not much of a coffee drinker but I do like Summer Moon’s smores latte’s in Kenosha.
3. What are you getting mixed into your Culver’s custard? – I like putting mini m&ms in my Culver’s custard.
4. Favorite sports team? Least favorite sports team? – My favorite sports team is the Pittsburgh Pirates and my least favorite sports team is the Cincinnati Reds.
5. Is a hot dog a sandwich? Explain. – I don’t think a hot dog is a sandwich because there’s no top and bottom. Everything is all just mixed, it’s not stacked on top like a sandwich or burger would be.
6. Are you pro-roundabout or anti-roundabout? – I used to be anti roundabout but now I am pro roundabout. They’re great to use as long as other people know what they’re doing.
7. RUH-cine or RAY-cine? – It’s most definitely RUH-cine
