So yesterday on the air, I mentioned how it was National Apple Day. Last weekend, we visited the apple orchard for the first time this season. I was faced with the dilemma of choosing Honeycrisp or SweeTango. Both are equally delicious, but the Honeycrisp lives up to its name, super crunchy and very sweet! I did seem to remember the SweeTango apple as being more firm and crunchy than it was this past weekend. I mentioned that to my wife and she said she couldn’t really tell the difference. 🤷🏼‍♂️

So I asked you, what is your favorite type of apple? By and large, it seems that (here in the upper Midwest) we really love our Honeycrisp. One thing is for sure, those hard-working scientists at the University of Minnesota sure know what they’re doing! After all, they created pretty much all of the top apple varieties. I’d love to ask those scientists what their favorite apple is. I suppose it’s like asking a parent which child is their favorite!
