Carol Ann Schuelke, age 84 of Glidden WI went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024
with her loving family by her side.
Carol was born on June 22, 1939 to Joseph and Florence (Thimm) Schoch Jr. She grew up with her
brother Dennis and spent her entire life in Glidden.
On December 31, 1960 she married the love of her life James Paul Schuelke and went on to welcome 3
devoted sons, Randy, Gregory, and Kevin.
Carol’s love for her family was very important to her as well as her religious life. She was a member of
Trinity Lutheran Church in Glidden where she was a member of the Mission Circle, LWML, funeral
committee leader, and former Sunday school teacher. She was always volunteering and willing to help.
Carol was a member of the Red Hats. She also enjoyed flower gardening, cooking/baking, and watching
wildlife outside. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her sons Randy, Gregory (Laurie) and Kevin, 3 grandchildren, Matthew (Alison) of St.
Louis MO, Joanna (Tim) Donner of Park Falls, WI and Jamie (fiancé Ryan) of Menasha, WI. Also 3 great
grandchildren, William 8, and twins Katherine and James age 6. One brother, Dennis (Sharon) Schoch of
Glidden, an aunt, Marion Thimm of Park Falls and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband James and her parents.
Carol was a beautiful person inside and out. She cared so deeply for her family and friends. She was kind
and compassionate, while making an impact on many lives even up to the end.
A funeral service for Carol will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran
Church in Glidden, WI with Rev. Kenneth Lahners officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the hour of service at the
church.
Interment will take place in the spring of 2024 in Mount Hope Cemetery in Glidden.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of
Ashland and Mellen, WI.
