As spring begins, the American Red Cross is closely monitoring the blood supply to ensure blood products are always ready the moment patients need them. Now is the time to book a blood or platelet donation appointment. A simple act of donating blood or platelets can be the lifesaving gift people are counting on.

Two area blood drives will be held this week. The first will be today (Monday) from 11:30a to 5:30p at South Elementary School in Reedsburg. The second will be Thursday (April 2) from 11:00a to 4:00p at Wyoming Valley School.

Over the next couple of weeks the American Red Cross is saying thank you for giving blood or platelets with an exciting partnership. Those who come to give March 30 through April 12 will get an exclusive Red Cross Life is Good T-shirt, while supplies last. Visit RedCrossBlood.org/LifeIsGood for details.

Book a time to give blood or platelets now by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
