Executive & Finance Committee discussed ambulance service
The Richland County Executive & Finance Committee met Tuesday night and discussed the future of the ambulance service. Much of the discussion revolved around getting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a third-party ambulance service to cover the county. Main discussion points for the RFP were for 9-1-1 service only, not transfers, and that no proposal would have to be accepted.
The committee also asked County Administrator, Trish Clements, to get the figures of what it would cost taxpayers if the county went ahead and retained the service by taxing property owners.
Clements also stated that she will be meeting with City Administrator Ashley Oliphant, new Richland Center Mayor, Karin Tepley, Symons Director, Micheal Hardy, and School District Administrator, Steve Board to discuss the future of funding for the Symons Recreation Complex.
Richland County Clerk, Derrick Kalish, also reported that the turnout for the spring election in Richland County was 42%. He also announced that he will be resigning from the position as he will be moving out of the area.
