4th Annual Earth Day Farm & Food Tour to be held Saturday
Savor the River Valley will host its fourth Annual Earth Day Farm & Food Tour on Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 to 4:00. This is a free, family-friendly, self-guided, behind-the-scenes tour through 11 farms and food processors in the Driftless area.
The tour allows people to meet folks producing food in ways that protect the soil, water, air and communities. Participants will be able to take a wagon ride, visit baby animals, see cheese being made and grain being milled; learn about regenerative farming, raising pastured meats and agro-forestry.; explore an orchard; visit a kitchen garden; participate in perennial crop research; purchase plants to grow at home; and eat many delicious treats such as ice cream, truffles, smash burgers and wood-fire pizza.
