The Blackhawk Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) hosted nine area schools Senior Good Citizens at a tea Wednesday (April 8). Linda Gosling is the Good Citizen Chairperson.
This year’s Good Citizens were: Hailee Kohout from Highland High School; Jadyn Boland from Ithaca High School; William Fulton from Iowa-Grant High School; Aidric Egge from Kickapoo High School; Hallie Nemec from LaFarge High School; Bryndalyn Kanable from Richland Center High School; Mariangelis Medina from Riverdale High School; Zoey Aspenson from Seneca High School; and Molli Hooker from Wauzeka-Steuben High School.
Students were accompanied by their parents and/or school counselors.
Gosling says the essays are judged and one Good Citizen is awarded the essay winner.
Bryndalyn Kanable stays very active with community service in mind.
Each Good Citizen shared a brief speech highlighting their academic and community involvement demonstrating the Good Citizen qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism, and their future plans. Congratulations to all of this year’s Good Citizen Award winners.
