Search Intensifies for Missing 18-Year-Old Traevion “Trae” Pirtle in Indianapolis

Family members and friends are urgently searching for 18-year-old Traevion “Trae” Pirtle, who has been missing for nearly a week after disappearing from the east side of Indianapolis.

Trae was last seen on March 7, 2026, at a home in the 3600 block of Cedar Pine Lane, near East 38th Street and North German Church Road, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

According to individuals who were with him that evening, Trae had been spending time with a friend when the two allegedly took mushrooms. The friend later claimed that Trae suddenly ran out of the house and began running door-to-door around the neighborhood. Family members say, however, that no Ring camera footage or surveillance video has surfaced to confirm that account.

Concern quickly grew after Trae failed to return home or contact his loved ones. Trae’s mother went to the home looking for him and was given his shoes, phone, and car. His family, working with investigators, also obtained a search warrant to check the home where he was last seen.

Family members say police and relatives have also attempted to interview the friend who was reportedly with Trae that night. According to the family, that individual has refused to speak with investigators and has not been seen or heard from, though he has remained active on social media posting music.

While searches continue throughout Indianapolis, many of Trae’s relatives and supporters are located in Milwaukee, and they are asking the public across multiple states to remain alert as the search expands.

As the case spreads online, the family says misinformation has begun circulating on social media and is asking people to focus on confirmed details and share accurate information to help bring Trae home.
