
Town of Muscoda woman found dead, investigation continues
MUSCODA, WIS (CIVIC MEDIA) – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of an adult female in the Town of Muscoda.
Wednesday night (September 10) at approximately 6:15, a neighbor called and requested law enforcement respond to check on their neighbor who they thought was either passed out or passed away in her driveway. A deputy from the Sheriff’s Office responded and located a deceased female lying on the ground alongside the driveway to her residence.
Due to unusual circumstances, assistance was requested from the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory’s Crime Scene Response Team to assist with processing the scene. Investigators, along with the Grant County Coroner, worked throughout the night and are continuing the investigation into this incident.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family. The Grant County Coroner is in the process of scheduling an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. At this point, officials do not believe there is any immediate danger to the public. To maintain the integrity of the investigation, no additional details will be released at this time. The investigation into the incident is ongoing and additional information will be released when it becomes available.
