Municipal Court Races
RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Some voters in Fond du Lac County will be voting on Municipal Judge elections this November.
Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says former Ripon Police Captain Troy Damsteegt was the only candidate to file nomination papers for the Lakeside Municipal Court Judge position. Former Judge Jerry Jaye retired before his term was up and Damsteegt has been serving in that capacity in the interim. The term expires on April 30th, 2027.
Meanwhile there are two candidates running for the Village of Rosendale Municipal Judge seat. Rosendale businessman Brett Zickert will face former Village Police Chief Kevin Verdine. The winner would fill the remaining two-year term of Mark Simon who moved to Fond du Lac.
Both elections will take place on Tuesday, November 4th.
