A three vehicle crash resulted in injuries Monday night.
GRANT COUNTY, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – A three vehicle crash resulted in injuries Monday night. Around 6:20 the Grant County Sheriff’s Office took a report of the crash on Highway 80 north of Livingston, in the Town of Clifton. Deputies from Grant and Iowa County responded to the scene. When deputies arrived, they learned that Trevor Weiland, 28 of Cassville, was southbound on Hwy 80 towing an empty bale moving trailer. He was slowing down and had signaled to turn
left to enter a field drive.
Christopher Faucet, 30 of Livingston, was also southbound on Hwy 80 traveling behind Wieland. Fawcett did not realize Weiland was slowing down to turn left into a field drive. As a result, Fawcett took evasive action attempting to avoid hitting Weiland’s trailer, but he ended up striking the rear of the trailer. Fawcett’s vehicle then crossed the centerline and struck a northbound vehicle being driven by Robin Wagner, 56 of Montfort.
Christopher Fawcett had to be extricated from his vehicle by Montfort Fire. Both Fawcett and Robin Wagner sustained serious injuries and were transported to Southwest Health Center by Montfort EMS. Fawcett was cited for inattentive driving and for operating without insurance.
