Fatal Accident in Waushara County

WAUTOMA, Wis. (WAUH)- One driver was killed and another seriously injured in a Waushara County crash.

Sheriff’s officials got a call about the two-vehicle crash at 11:29 Thursday night. It happened on Interstate 39 northbound at the 125 mile marker in the Town of Coloma. One driver died at the scene and the other was flown to a hospital.

The Sheriff’s Office says the preliminary evidence indicates a wrong way driver contributed to the accident.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Coloma Area Fire District, Waushara County EMS, Marquette County EMS, and the Waushara County Medical Examiner’s Office.
