Fire at FDL County Bowling Alley

RIPON, Wis (WRPN)-Firefighters and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a fire at a bowling alley in the Town of Eldorado just before 4:30 Wednesday afternoon.

A 911 call from a passerby reported fire on the south side of Generation Lanes on County Highway C. An additional caller advised that a gas meter may be involved.

Flames were coming from the south side of the building and the gas meter area when deputies and the Eldorado Fire Department arrived. The fire was ultimately extinguished.

The fire damaged the south side of the building, the kitchen area, and portions of the roof. The blaze was contained to the southeast corner. The majority of the interior and exterior remained undamaged. A bartender and three patrons were able to safely exit from the building.

No injuries were reported. The Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the fire.

The Eldorado Fire Department and Eldorado First Responders were assisted by fire departments from Lamartine, Rosedale, Van Dyne, North Fond du Lac Ambulance, and Alliant Energy.
