RACINE, Wis. (WRJN) — The Racine Common Council is on the hunt for people to fill a vacancy in the 14th Aldermanic District after Alicia Jarrett announced her resignation. Jarrett, who was elected in April, is stepping down to advance her career in the Air National Guard.
The city is calling on eligible residents of the 14th District to apply for the position. Interested candidates must submit a letter of interest and resume to the City of Racine Human Resources Office by 5 p.m. on October 4.
The Common Council will appoint a new alder during its October 15 meeting.
The selected individual will serve the remainder of the current term, which ends April 14, 2025.
Applications can be submitted via email to human.resources@cityofracine.org or delivered to the Human Resources Office at City Hall.
The 14th District covers the western part of Racine.
