Republican Treig Pronschinske wins 29th Assembly District

The 29th Assembly District covers Buffalo and Pepin counties as well as parts of Pierce and Trempealeau counties in western Wisconsin.

WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican Treig Pronschinske has been called the winner of the race for the 29th Assembly District in Wisconsin.

The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.

The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered very likely Republican with a projected margin of 23 points.

Pronschinske, the former Mondovi mayor, was elected to the Assembly in 2016. He is a small business owner and general construction contractor who is on six committees, including the chair of the Committee on Sporting Heritage. Pronschinske was drawn out of the 92nd Assembly District that he currently represents.

Pronschinske defeated Democratic challenger Terry Schoonover, a conservationist from western Wisconsin.

The 29th Assembly District covers Buffalo and Pepin counties as well as parts of Pierce and Trempealeau counties in western Wisconsin.
