Republican Rob Summerfield wins 68th Assembly District

The 68th Assembly District covers Price and Rusk counties, as well as parts of Chippewa and Taylor counties, in northern Wisconsin.

WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican Rob Summerfield has been called the winner of the race for the 68th Assembly District in Wisconsin.

The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.

The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered solid Republican with a projected margin of 34 points.

Summerfield, who was first elected to the Assembly in 2016, is the Majority Caucus Chair in the Assembly. He is a small business owner from Bloomer and is a member of eight committees. Summerfield currently represents the 67th District, but was drawn out of it.

Summerfield defeated Democratic challenger Richard Pulcher.

The 68th Assembly District covers Price and Rusk counties, as well as parts of Chippewa and Taylor counties, in northern Wisconsin.
