
Republican Robert Brooks wins 59th Assembly District
The 59th Assembly District covers the area north of the Milwaukee suburbs, but south of Fond du Lac and Sheboygan.
WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican Robert Brooks has been called the winner of the race for the 59th Assembly District in Wisconsin.
The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.
The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered solid Republican with a projected margin of 49 points.
Brooks was first elected to the state Assembly in 2014. Brooks, a real estate broker and restaurant/tavern owner, has six current committee assignments. He represented Assembly District 60 before redistricting.
Brooks defeated Democratic challenger Jack Holzman, who touted a platform of unrestricted abortion access and increased support for public education, health care, and natural resources.
The 59th Assembly District covers the area north of the Milwaukee suburbs, but south of Fond du Lac and Sheboygan.
