By Jimmie Kaska, Civic Media StaffWISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican David Steffen has been called the winner of the race for the 4th Assembly District in Wisconsin.
The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.
The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered solid Republican with a projected margin of 27 points.
Steffen was first elected to the Assembly in 2014 and serves on three committees as well as the Speaker’s Task Force on Human Trafficking. Steffen, who has served in city and county government, is a small business owner.
Steffen defeated Democratic challenger Jane Benson, a small business owner in Suamico.
