President Biden highlights speaker slate on first day of DNC

President Biden will speak at the end of the first day of the 2024 DNC.

CHICAGO (Civic Media) – The first list of speakers at the 2024 Democratic National Convention has been announced.

Headlining the bill Monday will be President Joe Biden, who will speak at the end of the first day of the DNC.

Biden will be joined by First Lady Jill Biden in delivering remarks and introduced by Ashley Biden.

Other speakers include governors Andy Beshear of Kentucky and Kathy Hochul of New York, U.S. Sens. Raphael Warnock of Texas and Chris Coons of Delaware, and Reps. Lauren Underwood (Illinois), Robert Garcia (California), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (New York), James Clyburn (South Carolina), Jamie Raskin (Maryland), Jasmine Crockett (Texas), and Grace Meng (New York).

Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will also speak on the first day of the DNC.

Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Tony Goldwyn will co-chair the first day of the DNC. The theme of the day is “For the People.”

The podium schedule, which runs from 5:15 p.m. until 10:15 p.m., is listed below in Central Time. Speakers are subject to change and not all speakers are listed.
