WAUKESHA, Wis. (WAUK) – President Joe Biden was interviewed by radio host Earl Ingram Jr., host of The Earl Ingram Show, in an interview that aired the morning of July 4th throughout the entire Civic Media network

The President engaged in candid conversation about his record over the last three and a half years, highlighting his administration’s accomplishments in the economy, infrastructure investment, and ensuring that historically underrepresented communities have a voice in government and the democratic process.

Speaking of what’s at stake in the upcoming election, Biden contrasted his drive for fighting to make sure working families have access to opportunities like education and investment with that of his opponent, who according to him will be expanding the tax cuts to the wealthiest passed into law by the previous administration.

When asked about the debate on June 27, the President candidly acknowledged, “I had a bad night,” and remarked, “I learned from my father that when you get knocked down, you just get back up.”

Biden wrapped up by passionately defending the founding ideals of the United States, noting that, “We’re unique in all the world, all the world. We’re the only nation that’s organized based on an idea. Not ethnicity, not race, not religion – an idea.”
