WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Saturday, June 1st is the beginning of June Dairy Month in Wisconsin.
A number of events, backed by Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, are being held across the state this month to celebrate it.
For most places, the celebration comes in the form of a June Dairy Breakfast. Several counties rotate the event to different dairy farms in their area, while others hold theirs in fairgrounds or open event spaces.
On June 1, events are being held in Madison, Ashland, Omro, Gays Mills, Rice Lake, Avoca, and Wilton, while on June 2, Abbotsford, Greenleaf, and Hustisford will play host.
Many of those are county-wide celebrations, including Iowa, Crawford, Barron, Monroe, Brown and Dodge counties.
Others are special events, such as Cows on the Concourse in Madison or Grilled Cheese Day in Omro.
Dozens of other events are scheduled the rest of June, which you can find on the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin website.
