APPLETON, WI – (WISS/WGBW) – Residents of Appleton have the opportunity to express their opinions on a variety of topics including healthcare, education, safety, environmental concerns, and more as the city announces the launch of the Appleton Community Concerns Survey.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Public Health in collaboration with local stakeholders, aims to gather valuable insights into the needs and concerns of those who live, work, and play within the city.
The survey is a critical component of the broader Community Health Improvement Plan, scheduled for development later this year. Its objective is to identify key areas for health and wellness improvements by directly hearing from the community members themselves.
A press release said the Appleton Community Concerns Survey is designed to be accessible and inclusive, ensuring that the voices of all community members are heard. Residents are encouraged to share their views on a variety of topics, including healthcare, education, safety, environmental concerns, and more. The information collected will help establish the priorities and actions that will be created in the Community Health Improvement Plan.
Dr. Chuck Sepers, Health Officer at the Department of Public Health in the City of Appleton, emphasizes the importance of community participation: “This survey is a cornerstone of our efforts to ensure that every resident’s voice is heard. Their input is invaluable as we strive to make Appleton a healthier, safer, and more vibrant place to live. We strongly encourage everyone to take part and help shape the future of our community.”
The City of Appleton urges everyone within the community—regardless of age, occupation, or background—to participate. The survey offers a special chance for locals to help shape the future of their city, highlighting the significance of working together for community health and wellness.
The survey is designed to take 10 to 15 minutes. The deadline for submission is April 30, 2024.
