First up on Spotlight, Nite Lite is joined by Greg Schwem, Nationally Syndicated Tribune Columnist, joins the show. Greg talks about a new book he wrote, Turning Gut Punches Into Punch Lines: A Comedian's Journey Through Cancer, Divorce and Other Hilarious Stuff. Pete and Greg talk about a new Major League Baseball rule, and other articles that Greg has written.

On UpNorthNews with Pat Kreitlow, the electors who decide each presidential election gathered in state capitols this week, and one of Donald Trump’s Wisconsin electors, former Gov. Tommy Thompson, said it’s time for everyone to “turn the page” on Trump’s fake electors plot to steal the 2020 election. Pat Kreitlow responds: Hell, no. Trump can pardon in federal cases, but state cases like the one in Wisconsin need to keep moving toward justice for the voters.

On the Earl Ingram Show, Earl is joined by John Diedrich from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to discuss his article regarding a woman who's son accidentally shot himself in the hand with her gun. They talk about the effect that her charges have had on her life and the racial disparities surrounding youth gun injuries and deaths.

Finally, on Matenaer On Air, US Representative Mark Pocan joins the show to talk about the tragic shooting in Madison and discusses some of the paths which need to be taken to try to create change. He also reveals a horrendous truth about news, and the need for more deaths to be deemed "important to cover".

Then, the Chad Holmes Show is joined by 7th District Congressional Democratic nominee Kyle Kilbourn to discuss the issues in his race against incumbent Republican Congressman Tom Tiffany.

After that on UpNorthNews Radio, US Senator Tammy Baldwin joins our friends from Motherhood for Good in our Women Win Wisconsin segment. We’ll talk about her work to protect women’s healthcare rights, fight the factors that are contributing to inflation, and cut the flow of fentanyl across our borders—if only a certain ex-president hadn’t put politics ahead of solutions.

Kicking off the hour, the Chad Holmes Show discusses the Wausau Ballot Drop Box being returned and we discuss where we stand and where we go with Nancy Stencil.

Then, in honor of playoff baseball, Maggie talks with the youngest living player to run the bases with the Negro Leagues, Dennis Biddle. Mr. Biddle shares some of his most impactful experiences on the diamond and in his life since. He started Yesterday's Negro league Baseball Players Foundation in 1996 to support players and their legacies.

Next, Charles Franklin Professor of Law and Public Policy and Director of the Marquette Law School Poll joins the Dom Salvia Show for a half hour the day of his most recent poll dropping. Charles brings some good news for the Harris-Walz ticket and for Tammy Baldwin in the most recent poll.

Finally, writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Comedian, Paul Mecurio joins Nite Lite with Pete Schwaba. Paul talks about working on a sports show, working on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and his show Permission to Speak, that is coming to Milwaukee.

To kick off this hour, the Maggie Daun Show is joined on the ground at the Democratic National Convention by DC Metro Officer Danny Hodges, who shares his experiences as an active duty officer on January 6th, 2021 as insurrectionists attempted to prevent the peaceful transition of power.

Then, the Earl Ingram Show  is joined by Richard Trent, Executive Director of the Main Street Alliance, to talk about the importance of small businesses and what the Democratic party is doing to help.

After that, the Todd Allbaugh Show welcomes Wisconsin Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez to the show, to discuss her experience at the Convention, talk about what makes Wisconsin great, and share a fulfilling sense of optimism within the Democratic party.

To finish Spotlight for the week, Nite Lite with Pete Schwaba is joined by the Cap Times’ Rob Thomas. Rob and Pete talk about the great summer box office hits, Rob talks Sing Sing, Deadpool and Wolverine, and Rob's favorite summer-time movie.

Civic Media Spotlight for August 3rd & 4th (Hour 2)

Up first this hour, Air Force Veteran Roy Rogers joins Jim and John to talk a bit about his experience in the military, which includes the story of stepping on a land mine in combat and losing part of his hand. But also shares an extremely interesting and funny story about his "famous" name. It involves George Washington, Anita Bryant and outhouses.. An amazing story! You've gotta listen!

Then, Busted Pencils has a conversation with Dr. Joe Gothard, incoming superintendent of the Madison Metropolitan School District about equity and excellence. Dr Gothard shares his commitment to elevating both equity AND excellence for all students in the district. He has a strong history of doing just that in his previous role as superintendent of the St. Paul School District of Minnesota. In this segment, Dr. Gothard shares his experiences from Spring 2020, a tumultuous time he navigated as a leader with the Covid pandemic unfolding and the social turmoil following the murder of George Floyd. In his experiences, Dr. Joe has developed a simple question he asks constantly that cuts to the heart of education's purpose: how are the children?

The week ends with a segment from Nite Lite with Pete Schawaba, when he was joined by comedian, actor, and artist Steve Seagren joins the show. Pete and Steve talk Wiffleball, what Steve is painting, and then shares songs that he can be happy never hearing again.

Up next, we drop in on Maino and The Mayor at EAA AirVenture! Jim and John are joined by EAA Museum Manager Chris Henry. Chris shares how he got his start in his field, how he worked as an air traffic controller prior to taking the job as Museum Manager, and some of the features of the EAA Museum in Oshkosh, which is open all year long.

Next, Trygve Olson from The Lincoln Project joins Pat Kreitlow on UpNorthNews to explain how a group of Never-Trump Republicans is reacting to a generational passing of the torch by Democrats and how that might help GOP traditionalists take their party back and protect democracy in the process.

Finally, we end the week Nite Lite's Pete Schwaba is joined by Marta Hansen, piano technician and owner of The Piano Gal Shop and local musicians/songwriter. Marta preforms a song live in studio, shares what goes into owning a Piano shop, and what Marta's got coming up.

After that, the Earl Ingram Show is joined by Mary Sanderson, to talk about the Money for May Day rally happening this Saturday in Chicago. The rally seeks to unite all voices for social and economic justice. Earl and Mary talk about the monetary policy of the United States throughout history and the negative effects our banking system has on us all.

And to wrap up the week, it’s pollination season! Maino & the Mayor continue their conversation about bees swarming this time of year and what to do if you see them.
