The General brings us up to speed on recruitment and retention rates across the US armed forces, sharing his excitement about the opportunities available. He also addresses concerns of family support for servicemen and women, emphasizing family outreach and childcare programs. He and Captain Sara Eagle discuss methods that the ANG employs to minimize the amount of noise civilians are exposed to when F-35 jets fly overhead. The conversation comes to a close as Brigadier General May advises a former serviceman on how to get back into the ANG. It turns out that no matter your background, it’s very easy to see how you can get involved in serving your country.

Today, we are honored to welcome Brigadier General David May back to a very special edition of The Todd Allbaugh Show! As the commanding officer of the Wisconsin Air National Guard (ANG), Brigadier General May brings an inside look at what’s been going on with the ANG family since our last visit to Northern Lightning at Volk Field. 

We also seize the incredible opportunity to interview Captain Sara Eagle and Airman First Class Chris Jones about their experiences getting into the Wisconsin ANG. Captain Eagle is an experienced F-35 pilot with a very fitting name. She shares what it’s like to have full control at incredible speeds and how it compares to the movies. We are proud to share her story and celebrate her as a role model for young girls who aspire to roles traditionally dominated by men. Airman First Class Jones is a newer recruit, currently in training for Explosive Ordnance Disposal. He joined the ANG expecting greatness, but the incredible skill, passion, and camaraderie he has found have blown him away. He also speaks on the joy of solving puzzles to defuse explosives and save lives. We are proud to share his story of personal growth and found family.
