Reinvigorating SNL With Matt Solomon (Hour 2)
Todd begins this hour by taking more of your calls on immigration. We hear personal stories of immigration and varied opinions on how America should approach regulating our borders. Todd himself has some tales from inside and outside perspectives, having spent a great deal of time working in immigration and witnessing would-be Americans struggle to make their way from El Salvador.
Matt Solomon of Cracked.com makes his first visit of the year to talk about Saturday Night Live! After years of enjoying and crafting sketch comedy, he has a plan to revitalize the show, and he shares his thoughts with us. He believes that 20 or so people is simply too many for a 90 minute show, and it should be split into two teams that alternate weeks. This approach would allow for individual comedians to get more screen time and prove themselves, fostering some healthy competition along the way to bring out the best in everybody.
