Ensuring Accessible Voting In Wisconsin (Hour 2)

September 23, 2024

Today, we continue Civic Media’s “Go For the Green or Gold” statewide text-to-win contest! Keep listening through the end of this week for your chance to win cash, gold jewelry, or tickets to a December game in Green Bay! Civic Media HR Director Jacqueline Rivera is a Louisiana native, so she chimes in to make sure we pronounce “New Orleans” correctly.

Matt Flynn stuck around to provide his thoughts on a new story from votebeat.org regarding accessible voting in Wisconsin. Two towns are being sued for not using electronic voting machines in their elections. While these machines are not required by state law, they are federally mandated to ensure that disabled people can vote.

On the issue of fair elections, Montana had to shut down their electronic absentee voting system after voters discovered that Kamala Harris was not on the ballot.

BREAKING NEWS! Sean Hanish, Director/Producer of Just A Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers, calls in to share more news for the movie! Fluff and Stuff with JK and TA (Hour 1)

August 30, 2024

Last night, former President Donald Trump held a town hall event in La Crosse. Moderated by Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s antics were slightly dialed down from normal, but his responses were still littered with lies and nonsense. From lies about abortion laws to a claim that people eat less bacon because of windmills, Todd breaks down Trump’s statements.

Tonight, Camp Randall hosts the first Badgers football game of the season! Todd brings us his annual season predictions. In past years, he has predicted that the Badgers would go undefeated. This year, he tries to take a more realistic approach. His friend and former coworker Jonathan Klein joins in to bring some practicality to Todd’s prognostications. At the end of the discussion, we invite Civic Media’s resident LSU fan, Jacqueline Rivera, to provide an alternate perspective.
